I bought one of these because it seemed silly to spend over $50 for something to try to keep my face warm in cold water for early season outdoor swimming--which it does quite well. I bought the larger size after reading reviews. I am right on the edge, as a 5'4", average-sized woman, but I can see how the smaller size likely would have been too tight. Considering I have been in 50-ish degree water, it stays pretty clear, keeps the water out, and probably will actually not fog in "normal" temp water. My only gripe is that I really can't swim hard. Despite the valve looking large, this feels like it has less volume than my lap swimming/normal swim snorkel, and I have to either go slower, or pause and lift it off for a couple minutes to catch my breath--which sucks, in cold water. Of course, it could be that I use more oxygen in cold water, but I have my doubts about that. So, for the price, I really can't complain *too* much ... show more

We got these for snorkeling at the lake. I've never used a full mask type before and didn't know what to expect. Pros: Full face coverage, mount for go-pro and comfortable fit Con: when you go under, the pressure hits you hard! You can't stay under for long at all unless you really push yourself.

Bought these as an anniversary gift for our vacation. Simple to use, and gave them a test drive in shallow water at the beach to confirm the fit. Used them later on a snorkle cruise and WOW what a difference. For anyone who has anxiety over breathing using mouth tube snorkel gear, the full face/ normal breathing made a massive difference. I got this for my wife to try out. We have SCUBA masks, but I was ordering similar masks for my kids’ first snorkeling adventure and figured I get some for everyone. The seal material is soft and comfortable. The seal is fairly wide to fit a range of face sizes. Trying it out there was no leakage and the airflow was sufficient for snorkeling. The exhaust is through the snorkel so for aLL intents and purposes this functions like a traditional snorkel, but does take some time to get used to the open face mask. I think this style helped with the kids on their first experience since they had no comparison and it is less complicated. The mask stays relatively fog free which is good. I ordered a couple different brands similar to this and this brand has a medium soft seal material, which is still comfortable and seals well. Overall this is a decent quality mask that is good for a beginner because they are not fumbling with multiple parts. You just stick it on your face and go. ... show more
