Does what it’s designed to do. I especially like that is has both an MT1 and MT2 so that if I upgrade to a better lathe in the future, I can still use the same set.

This drill chuck is excellent for the price point! I read some negative reviews about runout but the one I received is true and well made (no slop; no loose parts). The packaging was designed to protect the chuck and TWO mounting arbors nicely. I would buy this one again.

Good all around tailstock chuck
It works well and feels sturdy, my only gripe is that the MT2 adapter needs to fit the chuck better and perhaps shouldn't be so long.

Worth every cent. A must buy.
The chuck arrive on time and very well packaged. After unboxing, all parts were encased in foam, wrapped in plastic and had a light coat of machine oil on their surface for preservation. The #2 MT tailpiece seats perfectly and firmly into the chuck with only a slight tap. The chuck is very well machi
ned with a flawless finish. The jaw action is smooth and precise. The kit comes with the chuck, #1 and #2 Moria Taper tail pieces and a perfectly fitting chuck key. Good quality, a nice upgrade for the MT1 tailstock on my old Craftsman (Atlas) metal lathe. The chuck was securely packaged with a cutout foam insert. The chuck itself and key were lightly oiled to prevent corrosion. I knocked off one star because the MT1 adapter was not oiled and had light surface r
ust. It cleaned up with a piece of Scotchbrite in less than 30 seconds, so no big deal.

This is a high quality chuck and arbor set
I received this chuck arbor set on time and in good condition because of its excellent packaging. I measured the runout of the chuck while mounted on my mill using the 2MT arbor and it is within 0.0015 inch which is excellent in my opinion for this type of chuck. WORKS ON A DRILL PRESS AS WELL AS A LATHE
I really didn't know what to expect. especially now that reviews are suspect. Although it's made in China, the machining is well done and it works on my old Crafstman drill press. Hard to believe I could not find a key to fit the original Craftsman chuck (lost it somehow). Craftsman always made oddba
ll stuff, nothing was ever standard. Frustrated after weeks of hunting around for a key, I figured for the price here, I'd buy an entire replacement kit. Glad I did. This is well worth the money. Took it out of the package, joined it with the accompanying arbor (two sizes came with it), jammed it in the drill press, tapped with a rubber mallet...done. Works like a charm.

Not machined to precision…
For the price, they are not machined with precision. Was disappointed when installed on my drill press due to wobble in the drill. Certainly not the drill press.

MT 1 fits my old Craftsman lathe
MT 1 fits my old Craftsman lathe. Great value, good enough for my basement wood shop. Drill bit did come loose, jaws are a little rough.
