  • Product Review: Kingston FURY Renegade 2TB SSD
Capacity: 2TB Style: SSD Only Pattern: SSD
The Kingston FURY Renegade 2TB SSD is an exceptional storage solution that has significantly improved my system’s performance. Here are my thoughts based on my experience: **Pros:** 1. **Blazing Fast Speeds:** This SSD offers incredibly fast read and write speeds, making it perfect for gaming, video editing, and other high-demand applications. It drastically reduces load times and enhances overall system responsiveness. 2. **Large Capacity:** With 2TB of storage, it provides ample space for a large number of games, files, and applications, eliminating the need for additional storage solutions. 3. **Reliable Performance:** Kingston is known for its reliability, and the FURY Renegade lives up to that reputation. It performs consistently under heavy workloads without any hiccups. 4. **Durable Build:** The drive is built to last, with high-quality components ensuring long-term durability and data integrity. 5. **Easy Installation:** Installation was straightforward, and the drive was quickly recognized by my system. It comes with a comprehensive set of instructions, making it easy even for those with minimal technical expertise. **Cons:** 1. **Price:** The high performance and large capacity come at a premium price. It may be a significant investment for some users, especially those on a budget. 2. **No Included Heatsink:** The drive does not come with a heatsink, which might be necessary for maintaining optimal performance under extended heavy use. However, this can be purchased separately if needed. **Conclusion:** The Kingston FURY Renegade 2TB SSD is a top-tier choice for those looking to boost their system's performance with fast speeds and large storage capacity. Despite its higher price and the lack of an included heatsink, its reliable performance, durable build, and easy installation make it a worthwhile investment for gamers, content creators, and power users. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a high-performance SSD. ... show more

  • Awesome 👍
Capacity: 2TB Style: With Heat Sink Pattern: SSD
Did exactly what it was designed to do. When I received the product it was really easy to install. I thought there might be more to it but it was simple to do. After the product was installed properly it worked super fast. I'm very satisfied with this SSD with heat sink. It was a great purchase! I have to get another one in the future for my other system. It's meant to be used for a PC but you can also use it for a PS5. That's what I used it for. I needed way more room for all my games.... Girls gotta game lol. My husband loves it too, he plays loads of games. So we were both very satisfied with the purchase! I highly recommend the product. ... show more

  • Used as C drive
Capacity: 4TB Style: With Heat Sink Pattern: SSD
Write to this drive alot with VMs and it's still working great. Has dependable Micron flash and a decent Phison controller. Even under full load for an extended time it doesn't get too warm. Heatsink has a little weight to it. Would recommend.

  • VERY fast storage!
Capacity: 2TB Style: SSD Only Pattern: SSD
I use this drive to store files that I do not need immediately on my Mac Studio. The read and write speeds are insanely fast.

  • Works like a charm.
Capacity: 2TB Style: With Heat Sink Pattern: SSD
Simple. Plug in this new NVMe drive and screw it down. It comes preformatted, with GPT partitioning. It was delivered and works as expected. I used a cloning software and imaged the #3 partition from my older SSD drive (MBR partition). Did a "fix boot" and "redeploy" (though I think unnecessary). Did a reboot, got an error, and then shut it down. Unplugged the older drives and restarted. Boot up recognized the new drive as C:. Shut it down, plugged the older drives back in, boot up, and everything worked. After installation of the new NVMe drive, I updated to Windows 11. Done. Hopefully, I will get a long life out it. Also, check the screw size for your motherboard. Fortunately, my new motherboard came with mounting screws. ... show more

  • Best choice for mini PC
Capacity: 1TB Style: With Heat Sink Pattern: SSD
I tried a number of NVMe SSD drives in my mini PC, looking for a good balance between speed and temperature. My mini PC will allow a heatsink, but only a low profile one, so I'm limited as to how much cooling I can achieve in the tight case with limited airflow and no room for a larger heatsink. I tried the Crucial T700 and it was super fast, but it idled in the 60C range ran with any load in the 75C range. Way too hot for daily use. The WD SN850 is a good contender. Decent speeds and not overly hot, running in the 50s on average usage while providing adequate speed. But this drive is the best of both worlds. With real-world speeds in my PCIe Gen 4.0 machine being close 7000 MB/s, this drive is the clear winner. At idle it runs as cool as the upper 40s in my hot mini PC case with only a low profile heat sink, and under DiskMark stress loads, it maxes out in the low 60s. This drive is a clear winner for mini PC or laptop users who want speed without risking damage or thermal throttling due to excessive heat production under load. Especially for users of PCIe Gen 4 machines, this is about as good as it gets! ... show more

One of the fastest SSD’s I’ve owned. Games load blazing fast now in comparison to my HDD. Kingston products never disappoint!
