  • Works with Atari VCS when others wouldn’t
Style: 3200MHz Capacity: 32GB (2x16GB)
This memory was perfect to upgrade my Atari VCS so it can run Windows smoothly. Other memory which was purported to work on VCS forums that was cheaper ended up being incompatible. This Kingston Fury works great and allows me to run the memory overclocked at 3200. Still plenty of free memory after dedicating 4gb in BIOS settings to the GPU. If you’re upgrading an Atari VCS this is the memory you’re looking for. It gave a noticeable improvement in console fan noise while gaming and allowed me to use the VCS as a functional PC. ... show more

  • The Finest Laptop RAM on the Market for non-XMP boards/BIOS
Style: 3200MHz Capacity: 64GB (2x32GB)
Starting with specifics, I installed this RAM on a ASUS TUF F17 Series Laptop - FX706HE. Installation takes about 1-2 minutes, or however fast you can unscrew the bottom of your Laptop and replace two SODIMMs. I decided to go with the 64GB Kit. Some people may think that this is too much RAM, but it's nearly 2023, and I prescribe to the philosophy that my computer works for me, not the other way around. I should not be forced to close tabs or programs to free up RAM to play games. I should also not have to rely on a Page File in case my RAM gets capped. When it comes to Laptop SODIMM RAM, you're probably not going to find much faster than CL22, even at 8GB, unless it uses XMP. Unfortunately, a lot of Laptop BIOS's, including the one for my ASUS TUF Series, does not have this feature. Now, I don't know if it's specifically a mainboard or BIOS issue where I could have enabled the feature by completely flushing my BIOS - but that seemed like a really stupid and dangerous idea where I would end up bricking my laptop. When I initially realized this, I just let out a sigh, and had to accept that my laptop would not enable XMP, or higher voltage RAM. So, in my humble opinion, this is your best option for Laptops that do not have XMP. It's plug-and-play option (which basically means it's default setting) allows you to get XMP speeds, without the use of XMP. Now, we're not talking about going from CL22 to CL16 here - it's a modest reduction to CL20 - but when your choices are limited, you take what you can get. At the default CL20, it still maintains 3200MHz. The 64GB Kit is both Dual Channel and Dual Rank. I immediately noticed performance gains in more RAM heavy games, like Star Citizen. And, FYI, going from Single Rank to Dual Rank doesn't give you some magical 30% FPS increase with all games across the board, like some people claim. But, the I'm sure that the combined effect of a lower CL, higher capacity, and dual ranking all adds to the overall performance impact. I'll toss in some CPU-Z screenshots for those interested in the finer details. Overall, unless the hardware dies on me within a short amount of time, 5 Stars. It's nice to see a brand like Kingston providing a RAM solution that solves an issue that affects more users than I originally realize. ... show more

  • Works on my Lenovo legion 5 AMD laptop
Style: 3200MHz Capacity: 32GB (2x16GB)
Works perfectly on my Lenovo Legion 5 (not pro) laptop even though the spec says the laptop is limited to 32gb total mem. It's nice to have the extra space when I have some apps that push past 32gb. Note though that Lenovo doesn't officially support this on this model.

  • 64GB FuRy for maxing out the RAM on my MSI GE76 Raider i7 11800H
Style: 3200MHz Capacity: 64GB (2x32GB)
I just purchased a MSI GE76 Raider a few months ago, and did some research to figure out I could max the RAM with the Kingston FURY Impact 64GB (2x32GB) 3200MHz DDR4 CL20 Laptop Memory Kit of 2 KF432S20IBK2/64, Black kit. After some shopping around I found that these modules were rated pretty high and were marked down to a decent price $286.99. I purchased Kinsgston RAM in the past for laptops and have been pretty satisfied with their quality. I've also had Corsair, G.Skill Rip Jaws, Micron, and many other brands I used in the past. The Kingston Fury Impact are Intel XMP Certified in case I ever wanted to overclock, but I never really have a need for that (I don't want to negatively impact stability of the system). I do run a lot of virtual machines for testing so the 64GB of RAM will help with that and running multiple game clients at the same time. What surprised me was in CPU-Z (see screen shots) I can see that the Kingston modules list SK Hynix as the manufacturer. These brands are often compared with Kingston coming out ahead in quality, but as we can see sometimes brands put a label on other manufacturer's chips. With that said, when you compare the Fury 64GB RAM modules to what was in the computer from the factory it's definitely an upgrade. They are what the say they are and do what they say the do... such as CAS Latency being a little lower set at 20 as advertised on the 64GB Fury chips compared to the CAS Latency of 22 clocks for the OEM Hynix chips. For those that are new to CAS, this just means in simple terms the Fury memory is faster than the OEM RAM because the CAS is lower. It's a slight difference but enough to bring the score up from 93.2% on the OEM RAM modules to 101% which is 7.8% better on the Fury chips vs. OEM. Check out the highlighted screen shots of before and after tests to see what I mean. Considering how many transactions occur over memory having more efficient memory is always a plus. However, it's almost an unfair comparison as OEM builders always use whatever the parts in stock that day when they build the computer, and these Fury chips promise and deliver superior power when compared to superior RAM (I'm almost certain OEM builders won't use this higher tier quality when building computers). I don't mind paying more for performance RAM because I plan on using the heck out of this machine for the next 3 - 5 years and would rather put better stuff in my machine to ensure the speed and stability of the machine doesn't diminish during an upgrade. If you're the same as me, and don't mind spending a little extra to max something out that you are going to be using for a while and don't want to negatively impact performance but rather have a net gain all around these RAM chips are for you. ... show more
