  • Works with OMEN 45L, 16G to 32G.
Style: 5200MT/s Size: 16GB (2x8GB)
Bought an OMEN 45L with 16G, and added the kit to Make 32G of memory. Works well. Switch from default to Custom memory in Bios of 45L with old memory installed on reboot. took some time to boot up. You might have to reseat the memory. Once that was done, then installed the new memory, 4 slots of match pairs. on reboot, took a long time to boot up 1st time. but now very quickly. ran benchmark and system improvement, but not a great deal. ... show more

  • Excellent upgrade to my new HP OMEN 40L
Style: 5200MT/s Size: 64GB (2x32GB)
When I ordered my new HP OMEN 40L this month it came with 16GB of this Kingston RGB RAM. I didn't upgrade with additional RAM when I ordered it because Amazon's price is less than HP's so I decided to wait until my PC arrived last week to go from 16GB to 80GB by adding the kit with 2x32GB (Amazon is also a lot less than ordering from the Kingston website). I made sure to stick with the same speed of 5200MT/s since that's how my OMEN was built (2x8GB 5200MT/s) so I wouldn't need to make changes in the BIOS. I'm not into "gaming" (except occasionally playing Fortnite) so I won't need to be messing with over-clocking this PC. These new modules were easy to install and were recognized instantly when I rebooted my PC. I like the HP OMEN PCs because they're easy to upgrade, especially with things like the Kingston RAM. Even if you're not a hard-core gamer, like me, these RGB modules are a nice add-on to a compatible PC. The lighting can be adjusted, and even turned off with your PCs lighting software or Kingston's free download, but these modules are also available as non-RGB. ... show more

  • Takes some effort to get it working at advertised speed
Style: 5600MT/s Size: 64GB (2x32GB)
I got this RAM for my new PC build with an i7-13700K processor and Z790 motherboard. Since the 13700K only supports up to 5600MHz memory frequency and this model of RAM is on the QVL for my motherboard, I got this RAM in a 2x32GB kit. Even without overclocking, the memory size makes everything run so efficiently that loading screens in games are practically skipped. Activating the Intel XMP memory overclock, however, was a bit of a pain. Simply activating the preloaded 5600MHz XMP profile prevented my system from loading, prompting my BIOS to revert to its prior settings with XMP disabled. For a while, I had it working by manually setting the RAM speed to 5600MHz and having my BIOS figure out the rest with its AI Overclock feature. Later on, I decided to try fully overclocking my system, instead of just the RAM. Using the AI overclocking program available for my motherboard within the OS, I was able to automatically overclock just about everything in my system. Only after fully overclocking my system was I able to set my RAM (the only feature not overclocked automatically) to its XMP profile without issue. I was expecting that I would be able to overclock the RAM using XMP without changing anything else, but this RAM apparently requires everything else to be overclocked before it will work as advertised. Considering this is one of the most expensive RAM of its speed and size on the market, I was expecting that it would work as advertised without having to jump through hoops, hence the deducted star. I will say, I have not had any issues since I overclocked my system, so this RAM is pretty stable once you successfully set it up. ... show more

  • Successfully added to Omen 45L at 5200MT/s
Style: 5200MT/s Size: 16GB (2x8GB)
The Omen 45L that I bought only came with 16GB of RAM. Bought this to upgrade system to 32GB. For those having issues getting them all to run at 5200MT/s, here's what worked for me. I tried using XMP 1, but the system kept booting to Windows with at 2000MT/s. I tried a handful of other suggestions I found online...still 2000MT/s. What worked was I took a pictures of the memory settings in BIOS with just the two default sticks of ram at XMP 1; which gave me the desired 5200MT/s speed. If you haven't, make sure that XMP 1 at least works when you boot into Windows, and you can verify the default sticks are running at 5200MT/s. I then set them back to "Default" in BIOS, boot to windows and shut off the machine. I added the two new sticks, and let the system boot into Windows...verified that it was still 2000MT/s. Reboot back into BIOS and select "Custom" for the ram, and manually enter all the values that were in the pictures. You could select XMP 1, and then select Custom, and double-check all values so you have...less to input/modify. Save and exit and cross your fingers. The reboots in the middle may not have been necessary, but overall, I feel like the "Custom" part was what worked for me. ... show more
