I looked at the box thinking how I will dread & mess it up if I have to assemble this ladder. To my delight, when I pulled the ladder out of the box it was totally put together. It is substantial, sturdy, very well made and has some weight to it. I was able to open it immediately & heard it lock automatically. I was able to climb up on it holding the bar & was right where I could take down my ceiling light fixture to clean it. The regular ladder I have is to big & awkard for me to bring indoors, the chair step stool is way unsafe trying to stand on the seat & my kitchen chairs are to short standing on them and have sent me flying off as the chair went one way and I the other. This 3 step ladder is balanced so well, strong and wide enough that I felt safe & secure even on the 3rd step. It surprised me how much I just love this ladder. Worth the price for sure. I was thinking I had to undo the structure braces to fold it back up but I happened to pull up the bright yellow large square locking mechanism on the backside of the top stair and the ladder folded flat immediately. So easy to store. I really wish I had a place in my over crowded small house to put this instead of in the garage. This ladder is going to be used a lot. I can finally reach a battery operated clock over my sink that the time has been stuck on 12:20 for ages. I totally recommend this quality, safe ladder for your home too. ... show more

Excellent quality and choice! While the quality and cost is on par with other offerings of this type...sponge handle, sturdy metal construction, wide and steady steps with rubber textured feet. ....what stands out to me are the small details: -the yellow on each step AND the lock handle, welcome additions as this will be used by different people of different ages and the visibility will be key! Lock handle is not offered on most and this is a clear upgrade over others! -diamond-shaped & textured/embossed(?) pattern on anti-slip pedals, while the textured steps are shared by some of other alternatives they usually are only horizontal lines not diamond shaped, and KINGRACKs ladder has what looks like a visual separation, which again imo helps with visibility on the black steps which otherwise might be difficult for some to see clearly. I myself am around 200 lbs and this held me with ease. Even moved around a bit, and while there was some flex, that is actually welcomed as I've been on ladders that were super stiff and feel like you will tip with movement - whereas with this ladder it does not feel that way. Not sure how accurate the "800 pound" capacity is but if anywhere near true, would easily outclass the rest. Nice, portable and fits the bill: definitely recommend! ... show more

- HONEST REVIEW - KINGRACK 3 Step Ladder, Safe-Lock Design, Handrail, Sturdy Steel Step Stool with Anti-Slip Wide Pedals, Folding Portable Ladder for Multi-Purpose, Home, Kitchen, Garage, Office - I ordered this 3-step ladder for use in and around my home. I am a petite woman so getting our heavy ladder out is cumbersome for me. This step ladder solves that as this is much lighter and easier to carry around. When using it, I feel very comfortable and secure. I have no concerns with functionality. The grips on the feet keep the ladder in place and the grip on the handrail comes in handy as you are going up and down. The yellow locking device is easy to use and the yellow color contracts with the rest of the ladder making it easy to locate. - PROS - Light and easy to carry around; functional; grips on feet; grip on handrail; yellow locking device - CONS - None - OVERALL - This is a very user friendly step ladder. This KINGRACK step ladder is the bomb! I ordered this as a compliment to a similar, yet smaller, step stool and it is exactly what we needed. It is very easy to fold up and unfold for usage and feels so solid underfoot. I love the deep treads on each step, and how solidly it clicks into place when open. So I got this to replace another step stool that wasn't mine. Shown in my pic is the standard step stool and this one is clearly bigger, beefier and with a 800lb limit, way stronger. I like the locking feature too. But be aware it's not a big difference in foot space size. Also, I know the rubber grip will deteriorate long before the rest of it.
