I'm in my 70's and I'm not as steady as I used to be. I feel really insecure on ladders now, so this 4 step ladder/stool is just the ticket when I need to reach the high shelves in my garage. The ladder/stool is very steady even when standing on the top step. Bracing my lower legs against the top bar adds to the secure feeling. Some have complained that the ladder is difficult to fold flat, but what they are objecting to is actually a security feature that locks the top step. It's probably overkill, but it's well thought out. To unlock the top step all you need to do is give the underside of the top step a little bump with the heel of your hand. That releases the step and allows the ladder to be folded flat. Once folded flat the ladder is light enough that it can be easily carried. ... show more

I have a fear of heights, but really wanted to hang my new curtain rod by myself. I’m a senior woman, weighing 250 lbs. I feel so safe and secure on this step ladder! Plus the distance between steps vertically is much better placed. Better stepping distance for my old achy knees. I was going up and down this step ladder, repeatedly, and moving it is a breeze. Lightweight. The tall handle is top notch, so I can hold on while stepping and while doing my task. I questioned the vendor about the weight limit. He said it will hold up to 900 lbs. I received this step ladder a while ago, I haven't had the opportunity to use it until today. I bought two of these 3 weeks ago. Saw 900lb rating and thought ok good. I have a diesel mechanic shop. My mechanics are under 300 lbs and parts are max 75 lbs. First ladder broke a month after I bought it. Would not recommend unless using for super light weight items. Mechanic was just climbing up to put a 20 lb fiberglass room on when ladder gave out. ... show more
