Several minor thing about this bed. 1) The entire bed is made of particle board. Not unexpected considering the price, but be careful not to strip out the holes the pins go into. There are a lot of them so a drill is probably the best way to go, but keep the torque low. 2) The 2 boxes are very heavy, so be prepared to open the bixes wherever the deliverer puts it and move pieces by hand. 3) The instructions are done in pictures. Mostly they are fairly simple and they aren’t bad but take your time and put together the various sections loosely then take them back apart and add glue to the dowels. Again, stepping the various holes is easy to do. 4) Try to have a 2nd person to help you move the sections they are heavy when they are together. 5) Be careful when you put the under bed storage sections together and try to move them. Until they are attached to the headboard they are very flimsy. 6) The doors for the storage sections on the headboard only open about 6 inches. My bed is actually a split king so I didn’t use the metal brackets or slats under the mattress. I have no idea how well that setup works. Overall it was more time consuming to put together than I expected, but with the extra care it turned into a solid and fairly well built sturdy piece of furniture. I found no errors in hole placement which was way beyond my expectation. It’s worth buying if you have the ability to put it together correctly. ... show more

It's so beautiful and looks so expensive. The lights are a nice touch. It took my handyman husband 8 hours to put it together. Easy enough but but time consuming. It's super heavy and did come it two different packages about 5 days apart. Feels like a good quality and looks like it too!! We do not have a box spring under ours. ... show more

This bed is TIME CONSUMING to put together BUT worth it!!! It exceeds my expectations. It provides storage, charging outlets and it's absolutely beautiful! I would love to have one in every room but I can't invest that amount of time for assembly.

Seems sturdy, we like the color, all the storage and lights. It arrived quickly and seller was quick to respond. However, this took 5+ hours to set up. There's so many pieces! Something was off with the right side storage area. Not sure if the pre-drilled holes weren't quite right or pieces were cut wrong. It started to get a bit crooked as we were putting it together as we had trouble getting some of the pieces to line up to match the screw holes. It doesn't sit flush with the footboard like it should because the other piece is too long. This was definitely not an assembly mistake. We made due because we wanted to be done. Going to have to sand down the drawers so hopefully they'll close properly (one doesn't even close at all). Everything else was fine. ... show more

    • Prepare for a solid 8 hours of build time!

We were very surprised with how solid everything was. Yes, it’s like building a very complicated IKEA item, but worth it. The only drawback is that once you start building, there’s no going back. We found a few corners were damaged and two pieces were yellowed a bit. The seller was great and offered us a small refund to compensate. But seriously, once you start, the idea of returning it is a “no go”. Also, it’s delivered in two boxes. We weren’t aware of that until after we completely unpacked the first box. At the bottom was a bite that said “this is one of two boxes”. Here’s our suggestion on how to go about building this: 1. Wait for the second box to come in. 2. Unpack everything and sort every board. You’ll need some space. 3. Inspect every piece. If there’s issues, now is the time to repack it and return it if you can’t live with the issues. Unfortunately we found ours as we were building it. 4. Have two extra Allen wrenches, wrench, screwdriver with a ratchet. 5. Go step by step. Don’t try to think ahead. There’s screws, cam nuts, and so many parts to this thing. Follow the directions and go step by step. They’ve thought of everything! It’s a solid, strong, beautiful piece of furniture - especially for the price! But schedule the time. It took us a solid 8 hours. Hubby worked a few hours without me then I jumped in. And make sure you’ve got the space to sort and out the boards. Five stars because it’s a great bed! ... show more

Bought the king size bed frame on a whim and have mixed feelings about it. It comes in two packages btw, amazon won't tell you but the seller does! It is very heavy, needed two people to lift the boxes. Lots of parts and pieces and took over 6 hours to put together. The LED lights over the bed will not stay in the track and fall down constantly. The remote barely works as you have to point in the right direction to get it to work. They aren't super bright but nice when they work. The finished bed frame looks and feels solid. One drawer bottom came broken unsure how to remedy. You won't be disappointed with this frame but it does take for ever to put together ... show more

I love the style of this bed frame and the quality of the wood that it is made up with! We did have to build the frame in two different sittings, but it was worth it. This bed frame was a great compromise between both my finance and I’d wants/ needs. Also, it’s heavy! Be careful when handling.
