I bought two of these mattresses mostly on a whim because I needed to replace my son’s old mattresses and needed one for my guest room quick. They arrived tightly rolled in thick plastic. They didn’t take long to plump up and we didn’t notice any odors. Both my son and my mom said the mattresses are very comfortable. They are thick enough that the springs aren’t felt when lying down. They have just the right amount of support. In a scale of firmness, 5 being the firmest, this mattress would be about a 2. I'm actually really impressed with this. It's squishy on top but seems to be firm enough underneath to hold up to not having a box spring. Depending on how long it lasts before wearing out, I'd buy again.

I'm a average weight guy. So when my $600 mattress got a depression in it. You can imagine my emotional state. It was directly in the middle of the mattress. So turning it: hole. Flipping it: hole. I should say by depression I mean what felt like a gaping hole. My legs felt like they were touching the box spring. So obviously no good rest for me. I ordered this mattress as a stop gap solution. I no longer have the disposable income to simply go out and buy a $600 mattress on a whim. This was cheap and free overnight prime delivery. I must say that I am very impressed. The feel and quality of this mattress is extremely good. Very comfortable. It even came with a little cutting tool to slice through the 3ft thick amount of plastic they had it shrink wrapped in. Nothing like that was included with my $600 model. Yes I originally bought this as a temporary replacement. But as of right now I see no need to get rid of it or spend more money on another mattress. I am quite happy with this one. Now for the warning. The description says the firmness is medium. (The same as my old mattress.) It is not. At least not a medium like a mattress that I've ever had. It's not uncomfortable. But on a candy scale from marshmallow to jawbreaker. This mattress is more circus peanut and less caramel chew. So if you absolutely need something firm, skip this one. If you are okay sinking a little further into your mattress (but still with support). You can't really go wrong with this one. ... show more

I was a little suspicious of getting a rolled up, shrink wrapped mattress, especially one I couldn't feel the firmness for myself before buying. BUT I was and still am, AMAZED by the comfort of this mattress. I am on the curvier side so memory foam mattresses generally are only comfortable for a couple nights then they get to be too soft for my taste. But this one is still comfortable a month later, and I've managed to sleep through the whole night (even for almost 24 hours straight) and upon awakening felt NOTHING except well rested, no pains, no aches, no rice crispy back (you know the snap, crackle, pop that comes from having a bit too much fun in your 20s, and no longer being in your 20s or even 30s anymore). My fiancee LOVES it, he calls it his cloud. And all three of my cats have claimed their spots on it as well. My dog, well he just barks at it (he isn't allowed to get on the bed, so he just yells at the cats for being able to)!!! We absolutely love this bed, my only wish is that it had more sturdy edge support, if I sit on the edge of the bed, there isn't as much edge support or extra firmness as I would e hoped for. ... show more

You get what you pay for. The box was heavy, but it unpacked easy enough. I let it air and rise for about 3 days. I didn’t notice any smell. I will say it’s more soft than semi-firm. Not cloud soft, but a reasonable amount of give. I tend to like softer beds and it works for me. It doesn’t provide support on the edges so if you are looking to sit on the edge of the bed or sleep near the edge, it will roll you right off. But for the price, it gives a decent night sleep. For me it’s a temporary need for a couple months, so it would also work fine for a guest room. If you are looking for a good, every night, multi-year mattress, I would recommend spending a bit more, but if its for occasional use, this works fine. ... show more

If you’re looking for peak luxury then this isn’t it. It’s a cheap mattress in a box that provides a good night sleep. Overall I’m happy with it I sleep well and don’t wake up in pain. I’m not made of money and needed a mattress and this fit the bill. I took one star away due to the edges having zero support you can’t sit on the edge. But I’d recommend buying this. No smell, and firmness is a solid medium maybe even a little soft so good overall. ... show more
