These comforters are light weight, Cozy & soft as heck and still manages to keep you warm. The comforter is perfect even for those in my family members who are hot blooded and cannot stand blankets. I washed them on "delicate cycle" in my washing machine and "delicate" in my dryer. First, it is polyester, so not breathable and very warm. Best suited for winter. It is soft but nothing extraordinary. However, it's a good size and fits my bed nicely. I was looking for a featherbed like I had in Europe. This is NOT that. It's very flat. But if you're on a budget, go for it.
