I like my pots when I first put them together this way they look and the lightweight feeling in my hand. Then two days later I went to fix homemade chicken soup. As someone who likes to cook, I like to try new products and recommend them--or not. Copper cookware is the best for even heat distribution, and I love my copper cookware. Cast iron is the next best for the same reasons, and a properly seasoned cast iron skillet is non-stick, but both copper and cast iron can be a little heavy for some people. Over the last few decades, aluminum has come on the market as a much lighter option, but it is a terrible heat conductor. As a result, all sorts of ways to distribute the heat more evenly across the cookware popped up, and it usually involves something on the bottom of the pan that transfers heat more evenly, but stainless steel isn't a very good heat conductor for cooking. Add the non-stick element to this, and making quality non-stick cookware with even heat distribution is a challenge. In some ways, it's an oxymoron: You cannot have both lightweight non-stick and proper heating. This cookware set is a decent balance of both non-stick and heating. The non-stick technology with this set claims to be free from PTFE PFOA PFOS, which is great for both humans and the environment since non-stick will eventually wear off, and then you consume those "forever chemicals." So far, the non-stick on the set remains intact. The handles are made of plastic and then, I suspect, coated with something like silicone in order to improve grip. We ran these through the dishwasher a few times, and everything seems fine. I absolutely would not simply just rinse or wipe out the pots and pans. That will not properly clean fats and other residuals that will, in time, become rancid. ... show more
