Not sure why this is marketed for kids. It's a perfectly functional walkie talkie that works like any other and does not have any childish print on it. I work in a retail store and I purchased this because the ones they use suck and die all the time. I bought this, changed it to the channel they use and poof! I now have a functional walkie of my own that has a long lasting battery and a nice color. Seriously, I've used it for a few shifts and it hasn't even dropped down a bar of charge.
