The Luoran Kids' player is a very basic streaming media player. The processor speed is a bit lower than mainstrream players, as is typically seen with players marketed for children. But for the parental controls and Kids' Spotify it is not very easily distinguishable from players marketed for adults. In my experience, Luoran is one of the companies which typically gives you more for less, and they are honest and accurate in their description. They did not stick a card in and call it an 80g player like so many other companies who are selling very similar players at double the price. That said, this is a very good price for a player with wifi anf blue tooth. It is not very powerful, won't run a browser, or r3eplace your phone but do you need that? It will stop you from runnning down the battery and life of your phone listening to music. You do not get some of hte bells and whistles you get with some of the better players, buy at this price you can bnuy two, one fort yourself and one for a child. The player has a sturdy build with a solid , machined aluminum casing and a clear, bright glass touchscreen. It isa erasy to use and comes with Spotify, Pandora, Amazon music and Audible on board. It also hjas an ebook reader and Hyby music, an equalizer, gallery... a few basic apps. I personally would rather have a simple player that works, is not stretching the memory or processor to add a few more apps. As I said earlier, Luoran doesn't use tricks to deceive you into thinking you are getting something more. How much do free apps add to any device?. This player performs as advertised, and it works. It connected quickly to both blue tooth and wifi. and held the connection. It is running Andfroid 8. All the payers I hav3e seen marketed for kids and many for adults as well, run an oldser version of Android.. BUT it does run a current enough version of Spotify that you have access to the features the service offers, and do not get the errors common with older versions of their app. I did not try many of the other apps, but did go through settings and had no trouble at all setting up the basics. The player is straight fdorward and easy to use and is exactly as represented. I believe it has older versons of wifi and blue toot (4.2) but could be wrong about that. Not a lot of information was provided in "about tablet". It has a quad core processor that I don't know, but it is enough to run the installed apps without glitches, and whether you are setting it up for yourself or a child, that's a good thing. It also has a card slot, and can take up to a 256g card to store music, pictures, books and video. Simple, basic, functional, very reasonably priced. I doubt you will find another player at this price which is as well made and reliable. That's a solid recommendation. You will also have a difficult time distinguishing it from many players sold at near twice the price. ... show more

    • Best Mp3 player I've had.
I have owned over 7 mp3 players. Most of them were very basic, played music, videos, that's it. This one is my favorite for a lot of reasons. 1. Incredible battery life. Can go all day listening to music or about half a day watching videos. 2. Best video player app I have ever used. I have browsed the Play Store looking for this one, and I was never able to find the app they use. It's called MX Player Pro, but the one on the Play Store looks little like this one. I have another MP3 player with the video player, so I just imported all of my settings via bluetooth file, and I was good to go. I love that I can play mp3 files on a the video player app. It means that when I download music songs and music videos, I can play them both together from the same folder. 3. APK download capability. The mp3 player doesn't have an app store, but it supports downloading APK's from the Chrome Browser. I used APK Mirror and that works fine for downloading whatever app you want, including previous versions. I got the very first version of angry birds from a decade ago and it's amazing and shocking all at the same time. It gives you a feeling that you are in the past, while able to go into the present whenever you want. A very retro feeling if you call a decade ago retro. 4. Parental controls. When I first got this, It turned off on me every 5 minutes. Like powered off, off. I had to wait for it to reboot and that took awhile. First I thought it was just a glitch, but during the five minutes I had, I happened to unselect an option in Parental controls which allowed me to disable the 'glitch' from settings. Parental controls lets you disable any apps that are on the player, and it allows you to only allow a certain time for each app every day. All this is controlled and protected with a 4-17 digit code. 5. Bluetooth and Wifi control. Basically means you can connect to any Bluetooth device you want. And there's a chrome browser, which is handy. You have youtube, x, or any other .com site available. 6. It's made out of aluminum and glass. Enough said. Casing is aluminum, which is great because my previous mp3 players were always getting scratched up. 7. It's basically a miniature android phone. Minus the 'phone' part. No calling or texting or messaging, but it's still a phone in it's very basic way. Overall, It's awesome and it has quickly become the mp3 player I use the most. I think that for the price it's offered for there's really nothing that I don't like about it. I would recommend it for 6 year olds on up to 12 year olds. ... show more
