This is solid, responds to the touch quickly, has vivid display, just the right size, and comes pre-installed with music apps, parental controls, and more. You can also use this for browsing the internet and for social networking. This is like a smaller version of your smartphone less the SIM card. The battery charges quickly and long-lasting. As for the sound quality of this MP3 Player, it is clear and wholesome coming from a small device. This is also easy to set up and use. Definitely well worth the asking price. We've been listening to audio books since they were on cassette tapes; so we love getting them digitally these days. But, the app that our libraries have been using for downloads since the 2000s is going away and being replaced by Libby. We have Libby on our Kindles; but we like to be more mobile while listening. Yes, we could use the app on our phones, but then the ease of using the app fights with priority over the phone, and Bluetooth priorities. We were spoiled by our outdated iPod Nanos; so finding this Luoran M4B Kids player among the things I could choose to review as part my the Amazon Vine selections. I was impressed with the instructions, and accessories. Initially I thought it wouldn't connect to our WIFI; I tried all the different ways (a NICE feature to have) and nothing worked. I left it on the charger; and took a break for a couple of hours. I tried the WPS option again; and it connected instantly! I'm guessing it needed to be fully charged to get reach our router. I did remove a couple of apps right away that we'd never use; and it was just as easy as described. I connected to Audible, and Amazon Music, as well as our library accounts. All, easy. Now the reasons this player isn't a 5 Star device for us. The apps are slow to run compared to our phones, and Kindles. But, they do well once they are open. And the biggest drawback is the volume limitations of the player, When my wife loaded our Nanos; she would adjust the volume with the iTunes app for the MP3s before loading them onto the pods. That way we never had to max out the volume on the players to listen. But, the M4B player gets the file directly; and so you are stuck with the default sound level, and the safety protection limit on the player. I have some hearing loss; but my wife has more. We might be able to get her a better result with a good set of noise canceling Bluetooth earbuds. So, for now minus one Star. ... show more

This device comes with 16GB of storage, from which it has 4GB already occupied for the software and apps it comes with, but it has a slot to insert a micoSD card, so storage should not be a problem. The device has metal casing which is nice, it's construction feels good quality, it is not made of cheap plastic. The screen is a little small, and the on screen keyboard is small so it could be a little difficult to use for a person with big hands, but for kids it should not be a problem at all. It pretty much works out of the box, no complex set up required, I just set up the wifi and I was able to log into Spotify and start listening to music. It has a built in speaker, it is not very loud since the device is so small, but it is nice that it at least has a speaker. You can use Bluetooth headphones or speakers with it (which of course you need to buy separately), but it also comes with some wired buds and a nice silicon case to protect it from falls. It also includes a charging USB C cable and a USB C to USB A adapter. I think this is a great device for kids, specially for parents that would like their kids to listen to podcasts or music but they don't want their yound kids to have a cellphone. ... show more
