My 8-year-old son has been using this for a few months now. He has had several wrecks as he learned to ride a bicycle. This has protected his head through each mishap and still looks to be in good shape. The quality is good and he is still using it. The only criticism I could see is some may feel there are not enough ventilation holes in the helmet. This could also be seen as a positive as it gives more protection to the head. Helmet manufacture date is from 2021. Recommended lifespan for a helmet is 3-5 years and no longer safe to use, even though it is brand new. We will unfortunately have to order a different one.
