This pirate set is amazing! It's super well made, sturdy! It does take some time to put together but everything was pretty well labeled. The screws are labeled but also color coated so they blend in with the building so you need to match the colors with your own eye site bc the instructions do not tell you that. It's pretty self explanatory though. My 4 year old has played with this almost every day since he got it on Christmas. This doesn't disappoint and is well worth the price! In fact I believe it should've cost more bc of how well it's made. It comes with little pirate characters about 3 Inches tall. My son loves to bring in his g.I. Joe army guys as well. The pirate ship is also well made, safe. I've bought MANY toys for my twins and my other kiddos and this is by far a top gift with the art work on it, the price, the exceptional wood. This was awesome....my kid has had it now for 3 plus months and it has held up well *note* if ur child is the kind that Tries to tear up all their toys obviously nothing will last them long. But my child is kinda rough with his toys during play and its been super sturdy (it wouldn't hold up to being thrown, so to all those parents either make it urself out of something sturdier or don't be expecting fort knox). It literally comes with cannons that make a pretty realistic sound and pirate figures that look great. It was so fun that even I was getting down and playing with it and having a blast with my 4 yo. I bought it for around $130 so for that price point its been great.....some pieces are held together by little wooden dowel rods and started to come out after being played with for a while, but I used some wood glue and it fixed it permanently. To those who said they had damaged or missing pieces their is info in the assembly manual to get the pieces ur owed or to order additional pieces. Its super easy to assemble...the only thing that confused me are the tops of the screws...almost all the screws are the exact same screw, they just have a different color painted on the top....its up to you to match the color to where it goes lol....Im planning on ordering extra cannons so we can have 1 for every port hole on the sides of the ship, I cant wait to get them and have a full on pirate war!! ... show more

The quality of this item was unexpectedly above and beyond my expectations. It has to be put together, requires a few tools, but it is labeled for ease of process. My grandson was so excited - he said this is the best present ever. Made my day. Totally worth the expense.

We ordered in November or early December but didn't unbox until Christmas Eve and put it together. We were concerned after reading some other reviews that we may have ended up with missing pieces but we did not. Everything was there. It did take about two hours to put together but the directions are pretty clear when followed step by step. We have an almost 3 year old who can be very destructive and this has held up perfectly these last five days. If he was going to break it, it would have already happened. The only thing I think could be improved upon, is the back side of the castle is plain. I assume they mean for it to be against the wall but it would be nice to at least have a scene on the flat side as this is pulled into the middle of the room and played with. Slightly overpriced at full price in my opinion but I grabbed it on sale for $119 I think. Still too much but regardless it is a pretty awesome castle and boat. ... show more

It's really cute, and my Grandson will be ecstatic on Christmas morning! Very well made. It takes a couple of hours to put it together. There are hundreds of screws. Don't wait until Christmas Eve to open the box to put it together. It's stressful that EVERY SINGLE PART of the castle and the ship needs to be put together. But I will say, even that was worth it because it's really cute. So glad we opened it on Thanksgiving weekend. VERY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THIS, THOUGH... The small round numbered stickers for each part do not peel off cleanly.. I tried to scratch them off with my fingernail, but even that didn't work. There were itsy bitsy pieces of glue and paper residue that obviously had been scraped. If you've ever tried to get a price tag off the the bottom of a new coffee mug, you can get the idea. Some price tags come off easily. and others don't. But there are ways to remove stickers off of ceramic or glass. The difference is, these toys are wooden and have images of the rooms on them. I contacted the company and was told to use Glue Gone, but if it doesn't work, and ruins the wood or picture images, they won't refund, which means we're stuck with an heirloom toy that will forever have hundreds of eraser head sized numbered stickers over the picures.. in other words, Tough luck. This is very disappointing to me, because it was not cheap. I would've paid double the price, though, because it's so cute and is of the highest quality. But should the "highest quality" be cheaping out on quality removable stickers????? ... show more

I will say you have to have patience putting this ship together. It is worth the wait. Probably one of the coolest toys we’ve gotten for our kiddo. Comes with pirates, cannons with sounds, and a light up treasure chest. It so awesome!! Perfect size for toddler (3+) and hours of imagination time. Gives good ok 90s fun vibes!! Love it so much! Sturdy too! 10/10 recommend ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is by far my favorite gift this year. It took about 2 hours to build, but it was totally worth it. The instructions are mostly clear. My only issue was that some of the screws are painted on top and there is no guide as to which color should go where. I did my best to match the screw to the paint around it, but I guessed wrong occasionally, so when I got to the last few screws I had to move a few to make the colors fit better. It is incredibly sturdy and well made. The detail is impressive and the figures are awesome. The cannons light up and make a cannon noise. The treasure chest lights up. The crane can connect to the cargo and pull it up from the ship. There is so much to love about this setup. My son loves it. ... show more
