  • Decent replacements for basic strings
These definitely don't take the crown for best sounding and playing strings, but they do sound and play better than the cheap strings that came with my bass, so that's a big plus. They were easy enough to string through the bridge and the tuning heads before trimming the excess once I was happy with the length and feel though I had to adjust them a bit to get that right since this was my first time doing that on a bass (I'm a violinist so I've strung that instrument a couple dozen times so it's similar, but not exactly the same) but that isn't the fault of these strings at all. I do like that there are 2 packs of these so I can keep a spare should I break a string somehow (this happens often with a violin, but probably not a bass so it's an old habit lol), but especially as I keep learning and trying different strings on my other basses I'll probably find others I like better and use those and that's just a preference thing, not anything really wrong with these especially since they're definitely better than the original strings! ... show more

  • Nice sounding strings!
Plenty of bounce in these, which is great for my style of playing. Feel Similar to some Ernie Ball Slinky's. Also, affordable for a 2 pack!

  • Good feel
These are the best budget priced bass strings that I’ve ever tried. Nicely rounded sound and feel equal to strings costing more. I used them to change the stock strings that came with my Fender Jaguar Bass and it is a noticeable improvement. Since I’ve only had them installed for three days I can’t say how well they last but all in all I can comfortably recommend these bass guitar strings. It was a pack of two sets so the other ones are going on my Fender Jazz Bass ... show more

  • Not my favorite, but good budget strings/backups.
I’ve come to prefer chromes, but round wounds are easier for some people. These are good budget strings, would be perfect for backup basses/backups to your normal set. New, they have a nice sound and feel. Hard to go wrong here.

  • Well made, great sound
As someone learning to play the bass guitar, when you find a great deal on strings you jump on it. Now of course I didn't run home and immediately change my strings to try these out, it doesn't work that way. But what I did was I bought a used bass that needed new strings, so I finally got a chance to give these a try. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. My go to strings have been of the XL style from a different brand. But now that I've installed these on my new bass, I have to tell you, I really can't tell the difference. Construction wise, they look almost exactly the same as my usual strings. And to my novice ears, they sound the same, so I'm super pleased. And the fact that this is a two set is a bonus because you always want a back up pack, but sometimes cost makes that prohibitive. So yes, I think this is a killer deal especially for a beginner like me. Thank you. ... show more

  • Pretty decent set of strings.
So far, I'm liking these strings. Well made and produce a nice deep solid sound. The ball ends are solid and fit perfect in the slots.

  • Excellent strings for bass
I like these as much as my usual Rotosound, round wound bass strings. They have a nice thump for slapping, as well as the textured sound that I am used to when playing with Rotosounds. I think I just found a much more affordable alternative to the pricier Rotosound strings that I normally use. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Good enough. Great price and they function as they should
I unfortunately don't get to play enough these days to be picky about strings. If I was playing daily and gigging, I might be more of a string snob, but for just general use, for less than $20 for two sets, these are pretty hard to argue with. Time will tell how well they hold up, but they're doing ok so far and holding tune as well as they need to. Good basic nickel round-wounds. ... show more
