  • Happy with Product, but
This is my third Keter deck box. This model opens in the front and I will use it to store a generator. My previous two deck boxes opened on the top. All three seem to be weatherproof, were easy to assemble, and are very sturdy. My only complaint is that Keter quality control missed the damage to one of the side panels. The damaged panel did not leak in our last rain storm, and I don't believe the damage is a structural problem, but the container (shipping box) did not show any damage which leads me to believe that the panel was damaged prior to packaging. Shame. ... show more

  • Sturdy and inexpensive, but a bear to assemble
I bought this because it's significantly less expensive than the comparable alternatives, and probably would buy it again, just to save the $150. It appears to be sturdy, and spacious enough to hold a mid-size wood chipper, a couple folding ladders, and a few odds and ends. That's what I was after, and it does the job. All that said, the assembly took me about three hours, much of it spent puzzling over the instructions, which are almost entirely drawings. Worse, the parts I received don't match the drawings and therefore don't assemble as described. Specifically, the four wall pieces are supposed to connect to each other, per the drawing, by way of four corner brackets and one back wall bracket. But there's a male-female mismatch problem with the connections, and the result is that the back wall connector doesn't fit. I ended up cutting off a third of it, and screwing it into the inside of the back wall rather than connecting it on the outside as the instructions would have you do. To be clear, the problem there isn't the instructions; it's the parts. But the instructions aren't nearly as clear as they could be, so it took me a while to figure out that there was a mismatch. The lock assembly diagram is similarly impenetrable, showing four parts, when in fact five are provided (and needed). So, if you're handy enough to navigate those issues, this'll do the job at a good price. But you'll want to weigh the frustration against the savings before clicking the "add to cart" button. ... show more

  • NOT a solidly made product.
I was hoping to get a new shed for the front of my home before the snow starts falling and reviewed a bunch of options and settled the Keter. The material is not a smooth plastic and feels somehow like textured cloth (which seems odd given it’s gonna be used for a trash shed…I can imagine it will get dirty very easy and will be hard to clean). It was fairly simple to assemble but just did not feel sturdy and the small screws stripped easily on install. After I put it together and snapped in the doors one immediately fall because the roof is not secured in anyway I could see from the instructions and is meant to be removed I assume. The bottom left of the door broke and was super brittle and flimsy. Just not a great design given it’s for tools and outdoor items. Looks great but not solid design. ... show more

  • Good for the money
Instructions said it takes two to assemble. I did it by myself rather easily. I found the instructions were good (pay very close attention to the pics). Yes it’s plastic and rubber and therefore may bend causing unevenness in door levels as some reviewers state. The instructions are clear that shimming may be necessary. I found this to be a simple fix and so far I’m very pleased with the product. ... show more

  • Weak door hinges
This shed is a good size and looks sturdy. The instructions were clear and all pieces were present. We liked that shelves could be added later. There is a major design flaw in that the bottom door hinges are only lightweight plastic. They were not strong enough to support the weight of the doors opening and closing. They tore. We completed two different door repairs within the first two weeks of use. We eventually had to buy metal hinges to secure the doors. We were very disappointed in the shed as we had to put way too much additional labor and money for parts to make the product work. ... show more

  • Low Level outdoor shed
Pros - Low level design perfect for storing lawn mowers and small tools - Low design also perfect where HOAs exist and windy areas. - Aesthethically pleasing and easy to assemble. - Outside panels are paintable Cons - Panels are a hollow design. They seem sturdy but we will see how long term use affects wear and tear. - Pricey by comparison. I have seen taller standard height sheds that sell for much cheaper. But if you absolutely must have a shed that heighted below the fence line like most HOAs require, than this is your ONLY option. ... show more

  • LOVE my new chicken coop.
I now have 5 10 week pullets and needed a new coop. Since the last mower shed worked out so well, I wanted to use the same idea. I started out with this shed, I added a cat door for a window, 6 2" Round White Polypropylene Plastic Louvers for ventilation and a solar, automatic pop door. Plus a kiln dried stud for the roost bar. I love that the shed is somewhat insolated, looks like wood, is paintable, drillable and takes screws. It took me about 2.5 hours to put it up (I'm a 75 year old female and I did it alone, using a dead blow hammer to tap things in place and a cinder block to hold the roof down while I screwed in in place). It took another couple of hours to cut holes for the ventilation, the window (cat door) and the pop door. Half a day and $380 and I have a roomy coop that will hold 5 to 10 chickens. And the very best part is that the two big doors open wide so that I can easily clean the dirty shavings, and even hose it down to get rid of any critters or feather dust if needs be. It's only about 50" high, but it really doesn't need to be higher since I don't have to walk in. This is for sleeping only - no food, water or nest boxes. They have a 4000 sq ft chicken yard and a covered hoop house with food, water and nest boxes. Love it. ... show more
