Wow, what a difference this makes. I have long been very awkward with saws, I'm assuming because I'm left-handed (this is where all the right-handed people tell me I'm wrong :| ). This saw was very easy to assemble, very sharp and very easy to use. What would have taken at least 30 minutes trying to
saw in a straight line, trying not to cut myself too bad, lamenting bad choices in life and almost quitting at least 5 times, instead took less than 2 minutes. This saw makes me feel as if I contributed greatly to society and maybe I deserve a parade.

Pull Saw for Precise and Quick Cuts by Hand
Style: Single Edge Pull Saw
Needed a set of Pull Saws that would allow for quick and easy cutting by hand of small and precise pieces. Have used this multiple times to cut and re-cut small edges off pieces for trim work. Much better than hacksaws or small blade systems using the push concept. This Pull Saw is a bit larger; but
offers more precise cuts with little twist to the blade. I'm sold on using these now for special cutting needs in the shop. Ordered this same brand in multiple sizes and with different blade cut teeth options. For larger pieces, this single blade option seems to provide a bit more rigidity to pull cut. Quick. I appreciate this new technique and plan on using all three pull saws in the future. Appears to be sturdy and long-lasting. Exactly what I needed for trim sawing at the last minute.

Works well but handle unravels after awhile.
Style: Double Edges Pull Saw
This saw lasted a few months, which is about as long as I needed it to. It did a lot of work on tree limbs during those two months. The handle wrapping will go first which is unfortunate but not disastrous. The blade quality was pretty good and its kind of fun to use something different.

I love this saw! And what a deal!
Style: Single Edge Pull Saw
I'm LOVING this saw! I mostly use it to finish cuts made on a miter saw and also to do flush cuts on external home repairs (fascia boards, cedar siding, window trim...) When you need to make a nice square cut and don't want to use a sawzall, oscillating tool or circ saw, just mark a line and grab the
Japanese pull saw. Wish I had known about this cheap but GREAT saw long ago!

This Pull saw worked great. It was Flawless in trimming my poplar trim. Very precise and easy to pull given the thin blade! Outstanding product!

So far, it beats all other saws based on price alone. I took it to the garage and gave it a test run. Cut wood just fine. Glad I didn’t go out and buy the saws 3 or 4 times the price. Time will tell, but I am pretty sure I’ll be using this for a long time. I will also be buying some other options the
y offer as well.

I really love this saw. It is fast and smooth and makes cutting easy. I'm giving it a 4 because I do not like the way the wrapping in the hand is done. It came off in the first couple weeks of usage and I had to repair it. Otherwise it is a phenomenal saw. I need a longer one though.

When I decided to take on a project of building a small & easy workbench for the very first time, I had no experience or skill with woodwork whatsoever. And one of the requirements in building the bench was to cut wood to size. Since I did not own any power tools to fit the task, I planned on using a
handsaw my dad owned that been laying around collecting dust. Trying to rip 2x6 into 4 long pieces over 10in long by hand, was one of the worse & miserable experiences I faced in this project, and I almost gave up & bought a portable workbench instead. Then I heard Rex Krueger talk about using Japanese saws, and what convinced me to try one, was that he mentioned they were relatively inexpensive. So I decided to give it one more go, & while after doing some moderate research, I decided on buying the Kerye based on the reviews, but also because of a promotion at the time. Since feedback was positive based on regular price, the promotion convinced me this saw might be worth more than what I’ll be paying. And based of my experiences with it, it def felt so. From the moment I got the saw, I noticed it felt quite solid despite the thinness of the blade, which I was skeptical of at first since it was my first time using Japanese handsaws. But after doing a bit of research on using the tool, I realized shortly after my first few strokes, why these saws in particular, are so prevalent in wood shops across the globe. The Kerye cut wood like a lightsaber, and it was that instant feedback showing me that progress was being made in my cut, that made me want to keep going. After experiencing the ease like never had before using handsaw, I wanted to cut more wood because of how fun it felt. I noticed the saw teeth were different on each side, and after learning one was used for ripping & the other for cross cuts, I became a hand sawing maniac. After experiencing the satisfaction of cutting things by hand, I eventually came to a point where accuracy became highly important in cutting. And The Kerye allowed me to cut down a line, I never thought was possible sawing something free handed. It was that moment I experienced something I never expected I would have, when I took on this project. I felt what the guy feels deep in the hills of Nagano Japan, or the gentleman working in his shop in Nova Scotia, or a mother working in her garage on a Sunday afternoon. I felt the spirit of woodworking & what it means to build things from your own two hands. And it was from that point, I realized I could never turn back. Since then, only a few months ago, I’ve made over an entire room into a woodworking workshop, acquiring a plethora of new tools, both hand & power, that include several hand planes & a dust Collector. But most of all, I’ve discovered a new passion to enjoy in this short time we all have here. I can honestly say, the catalyst to everything that’s gotten me here, was This Japanese handsaw by Kerye.
