  • So much easier than a foot pump
Size: 11.8 x 4.3 x 6.7 inches
I was surprised that such a small, light, electrical pump could inflate car tires but it works well. It takes a few minutes but has been very reliable since we bought it a few months ago.

  • FAST air fill. AC or 12-volt operation. Nice carrying case included!
Size: 11.8 x 4.3 x 6.7 inches
I decided to wait until I used this pump before reviewing it. I use mine to keep the air pressure on my classic Nishiki ten speed, (in the case of mine 12- speed), bicycle tires correct. I had some doubts whether the screw on hose assembly would be difficult to use. NOT A PROBLEM, using it was easy! The pump puts air in very quickly, especially with low volume bike tires. It's therefore going to be able to fill high volume car tires much faster than other pumps I've run before. The nice thing about this compressor is that it can run directly from AC or 12-volt cigarette lighter connection. For those of us who run a bike as their major transportation device, the AC connectivity is essential. It's hard to find working gas station air that doesn't let air out of the tires while using it. No problem with this pump! Filling from 25-30 lbs to 80 lbs took less than a minute per tire. It came off without leaking air out nicely. The guage on front is very close to the real pressure in the tire determined with a calibrated electronic pressure guage. Only 1-pound difference was noted. When the hose is first connected, the guage shows the current pressure, both in lbs or kilopascals, (metric). You simply turn on the pump depending which source you're using and fill it to the pressure you want, then turn it off. Unscrew the hose and you're done! This air compressor comes with it's own zippered carrying case standard...VERY NICE! My only complaint is the small door on the back right side. If you don't secure the cord correctly for the 12-volt side, it wants to pop open, so wrapping up that cord correctly is kind of important. I highly recommend this air compressor, especially for bike enthusiasts! It allows you to keep the pressure right and is easy and quick to use. A lot better than trying to use the air station at a gas station. ... show more

  • Decent for the price but with a few shortcomings
Size: 11.8 x 4.3 x 6.7 inches
At this price, I am happy with this tire inflator but there are shortcomings. Most of my car tires recommend 32 PSI and this unit easily handled that but I would not buy this for larger-pressure tires. Also, on the box it states that the enclosed pressure gauge registers the PSI within 3 pounds (- or +) so you probably would want to use a manual hand gauge for more accurate PSI readings. I bought this for the AC connection option to use in my garage and it works well but the AC power cord is only 71 inches, so most likely you will need an extension cord to reach all four tires. It has a warning sticker on the unit stating to "Read the manual before operating", but there was no manual included to read. There is no auto-shut off function and the enclosed pressure gauge is analog and harder to read (would have preferred a digital readout). The storage bins for the cords are small, so once you pull them out, expect a harder time getting them back in. Keep those rubber tie twist to reuse for tucking the cords back in. Some reviews complain that it is loud, but I've used some that were really loud and in comparison, this one isn't all that bad. The most important consideration for me, is that it does what it is supposed to do. It inflates a tire and in a reasonable amount of time. Also, ease of use is a plus.... for AC, just plug it into the wall socket or extension cord, then connect the air tube from the unit to the tire and push the AC button. It comes with a locking tire chuck to clamp over the tire valve, so your fingers won't have to manually wrestle with keeping the connection tight. No more cramping fingers. It's great for topping off a tire with a few PSI's or dealing with a tire with a slow leak and will do it in within a couple of minutes. So much easier than dealing with gas station hassles. ... show more

  • Great Customer Service
Size: 11.8 x 4.3 x 6.7 inches
I bought this compressor about a year ago to leave in my truck for mainly remote 12v DC use through the trucks 12v outlet. I have used it probably 5-6 times in the past year. I have used it on everything from the truck tires, our ATV tires, bike tires, and utility trailer tires. The compressor always worked well. I went to top off the tires on my snowmobile trailer last week using my households 110 v AC power. The pump would not turn on. I doublechecked the compressor on my trucks "DC" power and it turns on and runs fine. It just will not function or even turn on using 110v AC power. Since the unit has a 2 year warranty, I contacted the customer service link attached to my order. I had a reply within 2 days from Haley. I had a replacement compressor at my door in 5 days. I have not used my new compressor yet but I appreciate Kensun's prompt and professional customer service. I originally purchased this compressor based on the AC/DC features, the pumps overall solid customer reviews, and a competitive price point. The fact that Kensun stands behind their product warranty means a lot these days. I would recommend and purchase future Kensun products for that reason alone. ... show more
