i have had these boots for 18 months ( too long to get any sort of refund) and only worn them one time. Pulled them out of the original box 2 days ago to find that the toe of one boot is missing the "suede"! how does this happen while being kept in a box in the the closet in the house that i keep well air conditioned and heated????? VERY DISAPOINTED !!!!!!!! The pictures show the toe of the boot, the sole so that you can see that they indeed have not been worn and the original box that they have been stored in. ... show more

I’m about 5ft and 125ibs and don’t have wide calves/big ankles. I bought a 7.5 and it runs a half size too big. I don’t recommend this for women who have skinny calves/small ankles and plan to wear it with a skirt/dress. There will be too much cloth and it will start to bunch up and fold in where the zipper is (my pet peeve when to come to these kind of boots). It happens even when I wear it with a skinny jean. Because the shoe size is a bit big and fits loose, the inner part where the zipper is starts to rub against my inner ankle, even with socks on. I’ll probably have to insert some socks where the zipper is so it looks fuller. So if you don’t mind the boot wilting on the inner ankle part, then give them a try. I was looking for an affordable pair of brown boots for the fall. This checks all the boxes -- good price, comfortable, attractive, wide enough shaft. I have borderline wide calves -- regular are usually too tight, but wc are sometimes too big and sag. These were perfect. The material has just enough give to accommodate my large-ish calves. I got several compliments the very first day I wore them out. The toe shape is just right, not too round and not too pointy. They were just a tad stiff right out of the box, but I'm sure they will break in nicely. I wore them for several hours today, including a bit of hilly walking, and they were quite comfortable. Beautiful, comfortable and versatile. I was not totally excited about the textile stretchable top. But once you get the hang of putting them on, they are gorgeous. The Kenneth Cole footbed and sole are very kind to my feet and generously sized without being too big. They give a polished look to skinny pants and a casual look to pencil skirt outfits. If the boots feel uncomfortable on ankles, just pull them up slightly. Also, they had a strong odor right out of the box. I was reeeeally nervous because for some reason it’s hard to find flat thigh high boots without those strings in the back and that fit slightly thicker thighs. I’m not huge but I’m not super skinny either. These are great though and super stylish. At first it was a little tight in the foot, but after breaking it in, they’re my favorite shoes to wear.
