I ordered the adult size and it's plenty big for me, although I'm fairly slender ( 5'9" and about 155 lbs) Still, there was plenty of slack to let out in the buckles. I tried it out in our pool and it seemed to work as well as any other life vest I've worn...there's no crotch strap to keep it from floating up towards your head, but it didn't appear to be an issue for me. When you order a Life Jacket/Personal Floatation Device with a size label stating “Adult”, one would expect it to easily fit a reasonably fit normal sized adult (5’11”, 185 lbs.) but sadly this vest is way too small and can barely fit my 5’5” 105 lb. daughter.
