I've been wanting to try string art for a while now. I'd watched many YouTube tutorial videos on how to do it but no one ever mentions what kind of string to use!!! Through much research and trial and error, I finally decided to try this set. And lemme tell ya, I was not disappointed! My very first project was a rousing success and, after showing friends and family my first piece, I have decided that this is going to be the embroidery string that I'm going to use on all of my future string art projects. I did have the string break on me in the middle of work so if I have any complaints, it would be that it is not exceptionally strong thread, especially when you consider that I really wasn't pulling it that hard across the nails. I was, and still am amazed at just how incredibly vibrant and lustrous the colors are. You need only look at the pics I've uploaded to see that! So, if you are considering using this string for a similar project, I highly recommend it. Your friends and family will be very impressed and, who knows, maybe you'll get really good at it and end up selling some of your masterpieces! At least, that's what I'm aiming for 😃 ... show more

I do a lot of sewing. Lately sewing supplies have gone thru the roof, and I understand that. The colors on these are great, each spool has a matching pre-wound bobbin. Nice, I like that. The bobbin box is ok, not the heaviest, but seems to hold up fine. I do have to use a spool stand at back of my machine. I have an older machine with the vertical spool pin and they wobble. Works fine on my daughters Brother. Considering its less than $1 for spool and bobbin, each color, Its a good deal. The thread is a cotton blend and works well with my machine. ... show more

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 As of May 4th, 2021: As an update to the previous review I left, here's why I gave this thread a 5-star rating. As a newbie to sewing in 2020, I didn't have a clue what I was doing with my sewing machine. It turns out the model 4411 Singer machine has a particular needle thread instruction. Hindsight is 20/20. READ your instructions CLOSELY! The sewing thread kit was absolutely fine, worked like a breeze, and saved me some coins. Alas, the issue was my lack of skill, not the thread set itself. I still use it on my singer heavy-duty model 4411 with no issues or thread breakage. Again, Read your machine instructions closely. I apologize for leaving a 3-star rating so I've come back to update you that 9 months later, I have no regrets buying this valuable thread spools and give it a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 rating. This was written July 27th 2020: 🌟🌟🌟 "The product is Definitely a HAND sewing needle, I was under the impression that this would be great purchase for the quantity and price, but I was Utterly mistaken. This thread broke constantly on the singer model 4411 sewing machine. I rethreaded it dozens of times and reinserted a new needle, mind you the sewing machine is a recent purchase as well. Please beware of the ENTIRETY of the product details before buying. Save some hassle y'all 😫 Get some quality thread for your sewing machine!!! At first I couldn't find the end thread which became quite frustrating but ended up figuring it out. Love the color options, have used in both sewing machine and embroidery machine (i know its not meant for embroidery machine but it held up pretty decent with a couple thread breaks) the green thread in the picture is from this product. It's a decent amount of thread on the main bobbin. Definitely worth the money. ... show more

Great value for the price! I have used 5 of the colors so far with only one issue. One of the bobbins thread snapped while sewing. I cut it and re-threaded and I did not have any issues. All of the other bobbins and threads have been great. I have used them for various projects. This would make a great gift. ... show more
