My almost 6 year old and I love it. I connect it to my bike but only pedal manually when he is on his bike. The hitch does spin slightly but my kid and I haven't had any issues while riding, I do try my best to make sure the joint moves less and I think I'll be able to eventually figure that out. Otherwise use the hitch that comes with the bike as spare parts, you’ll see the significant difference between the oem hitch and the replacement.
