Took a chance on zero reviews and ordered one of these. It arrived today and within a half hour I had it assembled and under the kayak rolling it around. 😍 smooth, quiet, and sturdy. Stainless bolts. Ok it is simple and it works. It could be 4 inch wider to fit an old town kayak. I have had 4 different ones and this is most stable free rolling tires I have had. The big negative besides the width is I had to add eyes to have a point to strap it down.

Comparing kayak carriers, given how many there are to choose from, was kind of daunting... But after looking at many and reading reviews it came down to comparing weight, tires and straps. All carriers have all three so I worked out that the tires would matter most, the weight of the cart next and straps being not something needing consideration. This carts weight was middle of the road but the wheels are what got my attention. The fat tire ones look like a lot to drag over different terrain. This cart has thin tires which to me reminded my of a Vermont cart which is a utility cart that gets used over many different kinds of terrain. So it made sense to me to go with this cart rather than a fat tire kind. I think if I were on a beach loose sand terrain a lot that the fat tire might make more sense. But out of a parking lot over to various kinds of lake launches, for me the thin tires are far better. This cart showed up quickly, went together easily, it's not overly heavy, the construction is solid and sound, the tires are appropriate for my particular use and so this looks like it's going to work out perfectly.     • Sturdy, easy to assemble
My kayak isn't super heavy, but some of the places I fish are a ways from where I can park. This kayak cart makes it really easy to transport it to the water and back. It was really easy and quick to assemble and is very sturdy once you get it together. My kayak straps to it well and the large, air-filled tires handle rocky, bumpy paths easily. If I had any complaint, it would be that the cart itself is a bit on the heavy side, but that is one of the things that makes it so sturdy...so I suppose it's a trade-off. Overall, this makes it so much easier to get my kayak to some of the more remote spots where I put in and I can easily recommend! ... show more

I used this to haul my kayak to water and it worked well. It was pretty easy to assemble and has a very nice finish on it. It isnt super light but I don't need it to be, it rolls very easy. The only complaint I have is the top bars wiggle around more than I like, this would not prevent me from buying again but they should design this to fit tightly. It is very adjustable along the width so you can make it skinny or as wide as the wheel width allows. ... show more

This is an excellent, sturdily made cart. They did not skimp on any materials, the wheels, the frames, everything is beyond solid. The thick rubber will keep this from damaging your kayak too. I instantly admired how strong this felt, this could carry almost anything. A kayak, certainly. This carried mine easily, I really love the wheels. They're big, which makes this easier to pull and less prone to jostling and trembling when you go over cracks in cement or other holes. You can also adjust the width of the cart to fit your kayak snugly. I also mean to carry other things on this when moving, the cart can certainly support the weight. Excellent build ... show more
