I have a variety of aquariums, terrariums, and grow lights for plants on all three stories of my house and it used to take me so much time to turn and turn off all of my lights. These timers have made it so easy to set schedules and turn on and off lights from anywhere in the house with my phone. I also have some of the smart light bulbs that you can access through the same app. Programming these is very easy, I generally don't have any issues with them. They are pretty chunky so I have had to get different surge protectors to accommodate them but it's well worth it for the automation they provide. Wow, these little gadgets are terrific. I used this 3 pack on lights in three different rooms of my home. Setting up the smart plugs took about 10 minutes per light including setting up my KASA account, choosing room names and icons in the app, and adding these plugs into Google Home. I love them. It's so nice to preserve energy, but have the peace of mind of being able to walk into a lighted home at night because I turned it on via app en route. Kasa app itself is good but Integration with alexa is quick and easy. Widget feature makes it easy to use in phone. It makes distinct sound by which you know your turn on or off the unit. Manual on/off switch is also one of its best feature.

Kasa makes a bunch of smart plug devices, everything from dimmers to thermostats to cameras but this product is just a simple on/off plug. This model, HS103, is one of their older devices but still works well enough. I got 3 plugs on sale for about $20. Adding to almost any Android phone or tablet is straight forward, if not intuitive. You need to download Google Home from the Play Store and if you don't have an account, then create one and log in. You will need your home router password to connect. Then, in Google Home, click the Device tab and then Add each smart plug (one at a time). You can then turn on and off each plug/device by name. Example: Bedroom Lamp. You decide what name to call each plug/device. The plug is "dumb" and really has no idea what you plugged into it. Since this is verified to work on Google devices I bought this to use on my Lenovo Smart Display but, unfortunately, this will not work. This is not the fault of the Kasa plug but my Lenovo Smart Display is not a true Android device. There is a very complicated way online to change the firmware of my display but it scares me. I'm afraid I will "brick" the display. But these Smart Plugs work just fine on my Samsung A50 Android 11 phone and my Lenovo Android 12 tablet (Lenovo Tab M10+ 3rd Generation). Really, this should work on almost any Android device. This works on Apple products too and I'm not a Apple fan but there is an App to make it work.     • Keeps working despite power outtage
I bought these for one reason: I wanted smart plugs that would work with my Google Home that didn't have to be reset every time the power goes out. So far they have survived several outages and have only had to be reset once. I also have some Kasa cameras, and it is nice to control them all in one app. ... show more
