It was time for my 3yo racer to retire, and so I spent a bit of time agonizing over a new brand with a little more padding and was a *little bit* larger... what I ended up discovering is that there are a LOT of variables. I'm a smaller frame (5'5", 130#) and even that light the normal "bucket" racer design of padding ends up not being very much padding, and my old chair (an older Merax) has only a 14'5" width seat - which was okay to start, but after a year I had to add a memory foam pillow on top of that because it just wasn't cutting it for comfort anymore. So after looking around in the 150-200 range I settled here. The seat is only slightly wider while being more padded, the back height is okay for someone not 6'4" (my husband is 6'5", his Killabee chair my head barely reaches the cervical / head pillow :) and as I use it as a neck pillow, I needed it to be in roughly the same spot. ) Assembly was easy -- but I'm *really good* at putting things together. (not a flex, just I have pretty much lived my entire life assembling things that arrive in flatpack boxes). Everything was aligned correctly. For those un-used to assembling big awkward things, a protip - I use pillows and quilts and anything handy to stuff under parts as I am assembling them - this way I am not trying to hold up the full weight of a chair back etc while attaching. The directions are in the black envelope / user guide. Most of the screws (save those to attach the vanity guards to the side of the chair) are already attached to the base/back of the chair. As always, tighten in series, make sure everything is aligned before locking any one screw down. Second protip - for the foot-rest - face the "left to right" oblong hole end toward the front of the chair and do not fully tighten those bolts - this will allow you to adjust them by hand to the point that the footrest will slide in easily - youll be able to slide the piece from left to right so the footrest pole can go in easily. Once they're in position you can lock them down fully. The whole thing feels a bit overly fluffy (pillow-wise) because i'm likely still in the shape of my old chair ;) But that's good! I looked all over Amazon until I found this one and decided to purchase it because I really liked the way it looked. I actually was looking for a chair that reclined and had a foot rest. I didn't buy it for gaming, I actually bought it so I could sit in and recover from my accident I had and couldn't walk and was on crutches. I really love that it reclines all the way back and many times I have fell asleep in the chair. The height you can adjust also and it can rock slightly with the turn of the knob. It's really comfortable and it also has a pillow for the head rest that can be removed and also a pillow that vibrates which is very nice. The seller is awesome and quick to respond when I had a issue with it and I thank you for that. I wish the foot rest would of extended out a bit further because I'm so tall, but other than that I am very happy with my purchase and love it. I got the red and black one and it looks so good. Love the chair! It's not just for gaming and helped me out a lot in my recovery. ... show more

We bought this chair for my son at Christmas, and there were so many options out there, I finally just pulled the trigger on this one! I couldn't be happier...went together with little trouble, it's very high quality...doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart anytime soon, like some. The chair is sturdy, the footrest works great, and it reclines all the way back. My son is smaller, so the chair is a little big for him, and I can't say how the chair would be for a heavier, bigger person, but I'd think it wouldn't matter. ... show more

Pros: metal frame feels sturdy Easy to assemble Looks nice High back Head pillow and lumbar pillow can be attached to the chair so they don't move much cons: Arm rests are too low on highest setting The metal frame shape causes discomfort in legs, side(ribs), and shoulders At its lowest setting, the chair is almost too high Reclining moves you away from the armrests making them useless Leg rest feels cheaply made with only 2 pieces of plastic holding all the weight Seat cushion is very narrow, and the metal frame rises around the sides and above the cushion when you sit on it, causing discomfort in the legs unless you always sit with your legs closed EVERY time the chair moves(rocking or turning) it squeaks and creaks loud The only things i really like about this chair is that it has a high back and it feels sturdy. I'm 6'3 and I needed a chair with a high back to support my head. Even at its lowest setting my feet barely touch the floor if I rock back they don't touch. The footrest is a nice idea but the mounting brackets are plastic... meaning only 2 small pieces of plastic are holding the weight of your legs extended out. It feels cheap and I'm scared of breaking them. If they were metal like the rest of the frame it wouldn't be so bad. The arm rests at their lowest setting are below my thighs, and they only raise a few inches which is still too low for any real comfort. Some very thick cushions attached onto them would probably help with this. And if the back is reclined at all they are completely useless, because they are too far away. So while reclined my arms have no support at all. I have pretty broad shoulders so the back of the chair having the metal frame extending forward(kind of wrapping around you) is annoying unless I'm resting my hands on my lap or I'm holding a controller. The same is true for the frame around the seat cushion. It rises around the side of and a little above the cushion, so unless my legs are closed together, which is uncomfortable to me, my legs partially rest on the frame. I've tried using wd40 on every part of the base that moves and can be accessed, but this chair still creaks loud every time I move, not a deal breaker but it's annoying as heck. I would not recommend this chair to anyone that I liked and if I hadn't thrown the box away right after getting it, I'd return it for a refund. I fully believe I over paid for this chair. And I'll end up replacing it as soon as I can afford to. ... show more
