I always tend to destroy this type of wire cutter because they are nice and sharp, small enough to fit in your shirt pocket and always available when I need to cut something they shouldn’t be used to cut! That Segway was to say that having a lot of these you can scatter around your house and keep for backup, will ensure you not using the same old abused, raggedy arsed cutters. You could buy a good set of Milwaukee if you want to keep for fine wire work but I believe these will outlast a high dollar pair because they give you so many backups. When I saw the price on these for the number of pairs I received it seemed to good to be true and I almost avoided them for lack of time and laziness to need to return them. But I’m definitely glad I made the purchase. I honestly haven’t cut a single wire yet, but I have 50 years experience working with many brands and I can tell these are solid for the money. I placed several pairs in all corners of the garage so I never had to walk 10 feet to get them LOL, a pair in my work office, one in the kitchen, master bedroom and several I placed somewhere else as backups. These things are cheap, but work pretty well. I think the metal is a bit brittle, but if you aren't cutting thick, hard metals it should be fine. If you aren't getting these with heavy duty in mind, I don't think you will regret it.

My first impression: these are a step down from my Kleins, Hakkos, CHPs and Xurons. Keep in mind that some of those cost 10 times as much as these. I got these to scatter around the house, car, garage and shop for light duty work. They appear to be perfectly adequate for the price. These came in a cardboard box, with a formed cardboard insert under the tips. Rough handling during shipping shoved about half of the tips right through both layers of cardboard. They don't appear to have been damaged in the process. I only checked a few of them, and they seem to be sharp and aligned properly. Immediately upon handling, they are obviously less comfortable and ergonomic than my more expensive flush cut trimmers. These would not be my first choice for doing electronics work. I wouldn't want to use these to clean up a large through-hole board after soldering. I also wouldn't want to use these for wiring up a large control panel. The first thing I cut with one of them was a 3D printer filament, and it left a clean sharp tip, as expected. ... show more

Fantastic price for the amount of product. My store is constantly losing these things, so I picked up 10 and hid 6 of them in case we lose any of the 4. They work great and are relatively sturdy for general wire/zip tie cutting. I purchased a $36 pair from a reputable miniature art company and they fell apart very quickly and I would say these far exceed the quality of the more expensive ones. ... show more

If you have super-thick nails, these will solve your trouble for a lifetime. In my work I use them to cut the mild steel legs of resistors. capacitors, and other electronic components once installed on the circuit-board.     • Good for scale modeling (plastic), but TERRIBLE for guitar strings.
