    • Definitely Not for a Hybrid Vehicle
I’ve been using K&N for my gasoline car in the last 10 year, they were great! But K&N is definitely not for hybrid vehicle, it consistently hurting the fuel economy for about 10%, My RAV 4 hybrid typically run 40 MPG, K&N knocked it down to 36, check the torque news a professional auto news website, their investigation found K&N filter was using oil based filter, the technology was definitely not designed for hybrid vehicles, when I asked K&N customer service what exactly they mean by claiming the K&N filter will make the green car go greener if their filter is consistently hurting fuel economy by 10% comparing to normal filter. I got the answer of K&N never claim will help fuel economy, making the green car go greener means Customer do not need to change the filter any more. I guess everyone can make your own judgement. BTW: there are plenty of folks on Amazon reviews wittiness the same fuel economy drop on their hybrid vehicle. ... show more
