  • Easy to install (08 Accord) Sounds and Performs Great
Installed on my 2008 Honda Accord EXL Pros: Very easy to install. You can do it in under an hour with just a few wrenches/sockets and little mechanical knowledge. It comes with a picture step by step guide for Honda's and Acuras. Sounds amazing. Makes your engine growl when halfway and onwards on the throttle. I definitely notice an improvement in throttle response and acceleration versus the stock intake. Looks sweet in the engine bay Slight improvement of mileage if you don't floor it all day Cons: The only real downside is that you do in fact increase the amount of debris making it into your engine which can cause problems down the road. Price was around 300 when i got it. Fair for what you get but could be a con for others. ... show more

  • K&N SRI for 2011 Honda Accord Coupe
All in all, a little early to tell since I just installed this less than a month ago. I have a 2011 Honda Accord Coupe (3.5L), but the dyno sheet is for an older model year. I'm assuming nothing changed on the engine/short ram design, but it would be nice for them to update the datasheet to reflect it is compatible with 2011 models. All parts were included and it took about an hour to install. The only complaint I have about the diagram is that two of the brackets are drawn from an ambiguous point of view. Therefore you may have to test fit the items first before tightening everything down. Many forums have indicated these types of products (CAI, SRI) don't really add HP to the car, since the stock airbox does a good job at keeping the intake cool, but the resulting sound is nice. It almost sounds like I have a V-8 when the engine is >4000RPM. Overall, I can't find any major faults in this product, will update later on. Also, so far, no Check Engine lights! *edit* I forgot to mention, as the person with the TL Type-S indicated: the kit comes with some hose that connects to the PCV intake. However, the 2011 Accord 3.5L V6 attaches via two metal pipes that are formed together. You only need to replace one of the two, so you have to leave the other metal pipe intact with no connections. It would be good to plug it so moisture doesn't enter. Also, the kit has you remove the stock airbox, but not the duct work that loops under the battery. Moisture and debris can accumulate in there, so I am going to take that out when I retrofit HIDs. ... show more

  • Poor craftsmanship
First and foremost I would like to say how disappointing it is to buy something that's meant to be for your car and you end up having to do your own fabrication to make it work. I have an 2007 acura tl type s 3.5l and was told this would fit my vehicle. The tube fits but the mounting bracket and shield are completely wrong and instructions are terrible. Also the type s at least this year runs off the map and not a maf sensor. So I ended up having to plug up the hole with a fabricated piece of metal. The mounting bracket holes shown in the instructions must be for the 3.2l because everything was different. I'd expect for 350 dollars that this would be more user friendly. I got it to work but couldn't use the shield or mounting brackets due to the design of the type s being different. My old intake tube was damaged and that's the reason I decided to just upgrade but if I would have know that it really isn't meant for my model I would have gone with something cheaper. I'm normally a fan of k&n but this design needs work for the type s. ... show more

  • Does not fit TL Type S unless you modify it.
The search utility will show this product as being able to fit on a Type-S 3.5L model, but it doesn't. I had to make major modifications to the parts, and cut the main intake tube to make it fit. The final install turned out great, and it adds a great V-8 type sound to the engine, but it took a long time to make it work. ... show more

  • Sounds more powerful, Better MPG, Is slightly faster.
Love it. That pretty much sums it up. I installed on 09 Accord V6 Coupe AT and it's an improvement in every way. Pros 1. Engine sounds more powerful and sporty and because it's on a V6 and not an I4 it doesn't have that annoying "ricer" sound. 2. MPG has improved by about 2MPG or more and that's with me getting on it more often. I'm averaging 22MPG with mostly city driving and it actually used to be around 18MPG because of how I drive(rated at 19MPG city). So it has clearly improved here. 3. Engine is more powerful and evident with the 1-2 shift that now includes a satisfying tire chirp and increased torque steer. This is just with the car in regular auto drive mode and peddle to the metal and VSA on. Cons 1. Took me a few hours to install. *rolls eyes* 2. There are none, no codes or lights, it works great. Conclusion, I would definitely recommend this to anyone solely on the basis of the improved MPG alone. But the sound is awesome and if you stay below half throttle no one would even know you've done anything so that's nice as I'd rather it surprise people. Bonus the power is improved slightly over stock. For me this improvement was about making up for the 200-300lbs of audio weight(second battery, capacitor, etc) and sound dampening(removed everything but dash from interior to sound proof) I've added. It makes up for all of this and then some given my improved gas mileage, highly recommend. ... show more
