    • Set Aside at least 4 to 5 hours to build this
Overall, very sturdy and good-looking bed. No complaints on functionality. However, there are two important things to know before you buy this. 1. This gets delivered in two boxes, and they are both unbelievably heavy. The heavier of the two weighs over 120lbs. If you're planning on carrying the boxes up a fight of stairs, be prepared to call a friend. 2. Although it doesn't take a high level of skill to assemble, this bed takes a VERY LONG time to put together. All in, this took me about 5 hours to build just due to the sheer number of fasteners (step 3 of the building instructions includes screwing in a whopping 62 fasteners). Building it can be done alone, but I would also recommend bringing a friend for this as well. Once it's built, it's great. Very sturdy. Just be warned about the weight and the time you will need to set aside to build it. ... show more

If you like laying on or sitting on your bed I would not recommend. Let me start out by saying this bed is beautiful, and appears to be well made. I’ve had it for about 6 months now and waiting this long to review to give an accurate picture. About a week in, I sat in the side of the bed and the slats came out and the side of the bed fell. Nothing broke the slats just came out of the holders. This happened two more times and I called customer service. Language was a barrier but they finally said they would send a new set of clips. They sent an entire box 2, which weighs about 100 pounds and now I have a box full of random bed pieces when I needed 3 clips. I just dealt with it but now six months later any sitting on the side or god forbid someone sit next to me, the slats come out and you fall. It’s great to have gotten a new bed that is more frustrating than not having a bed. At this point, I fix it daily so I’d rather just remove the bed and sleep on the mattress on the floor. ... show more

This bed is very solid and nice quality. It took me about 6 hours to put it together by myself. Many,many nuts,wood dowels,etc. go with the construction of the bed ( 34 page instruction manual). I recommend you buy some extra wood glue as the small tube of glue provided ran out about halfway through the build. TIP... use the styrofoam that comes with the packing to do the setup on. There are many wood dowels that will break if you try to stand it on the floor or hard surface. My product had a small crack which is in the pictures but did not affect the finished product very nice black finish. Very solid and the pieces go together very well with very accurate design. Will gladly buy another one. ... show more

The bed looks great and is very sturdy. However, it is made of cheap particle board. If you are wondering how can it be sturdy if it’s made from cheap materials, this feat is accomplished with the liberal use of fasteners. So many fasteners. The bed frame might be equally metal and wood. Now if you think that this is the perfect solution to getting a great looking bed that is sturdy and affordable, please remember to factor in the cost of your time assembling the bed and its many, many fasteners. I enjoy a good challenge and consider putting together IKEA furniture easy. This was not that. Five hours into this project and I needed a strong drink. Nevertheless, I completed it and finished the project before midnight. ... show more
