This snorkel is a great value and works perfectly for our 7 year old! He had no trouble breathing & very little if any water got inside. It also comes with a GoPro Mount which is handy. Overall very pleased.

Really liked this product, and 6 yr old loved it. Easy to adjust, easy to use, comfortable, never fogged or leaked water from the air tube at the top. However, no matter how we fit and/or adjusted the mask, it leaks water from the chin area into the mouth cavity....every time. We have looked and tried to figure out how/where the water is coming in, but we were unsuccessful A real disappointment for us, especially because we missed the window to return the item, so now we're stuck with a leaky mask. ... show more

    • Good Fit, Easy to Use, Nice Purge Valve

I got this for my 3-year-old who, while technically too young to use it, really wanted a mask and snorkel like his older siblings. My 5-and-7-year olds have the traditional mask and snorkel sets and were always getting water in the snorkels because the tube would dip sideways under the water when they tried to swim. WOW, this one well surpassed my expectations! Not only does it have the snorkel off the top (which just makes sense considering where the air will be when you put your face in the water), but it also has a purge valve around the mouth, which is sealed separately from the eye mask. This accomplishes a few things. First, your breath isn't fogging up the eye portion of the mask. Second, you're much less likely to get water down the snorkel. Third, if water DOES get down into the mouth area, it's easily released through the purge valve instead of needing to be shot all the way up the snorkel tube (which can be really hard for kids to do). HEADS UP: The purge valve makes it look like there's an air leak when exhaling. This is just the way a purge valve functions. The air releases around the mouth, but does not let the water in. Each of the kids (ages 3, 5, and 7) were able to use this and swim around for long periods of time, and I even tried it as an adult and found it to work for me, too (though I'd definitely suggest getting the correct size if you plan to use one of these for any extended period as an adult, as it was pretty short around my face). The ONLY thing I'd change is having some kind of quick release for the straps. You have to extend the elastic strap far enough to get your head in and then pull it to tighten again every time you want to put it on. It would be nice to have the adjustment stay consistent and just clip or unclip the lower straps to the mask when putting it on or taking it off. Once it's on, though, it stayed put. ... show more

Got this for my daughters for an upcoming trip to the Bahamas. Since I wouldn't be able to try it out before we got there, had her fill up the tub and take it for a test run. She usually wears full face googles that cover her eyes and nose, and this fit comfortably over her whole face. She was able to submerge her entire head without leaks, and the breathing tube was still above water. This rig also comes with a GoPro mount that goes over the air tube so she's super excited to try that out once we go in the ocean. Hopefully we can get some great video with this setup! ... show more

    • Very little leaking and hours of fun
My kid loved this full face snorkel mask, definitely made mostly for skimming the surface rather than actual snorkeling but it does the job. He didn't complain of leaks nearly as often as he does with other swim goggles and he had a blast using this to look under water and quietly float and observe.

I ordered this because my 5-year old wanted to try a snorkel, but I was afraid he would inhale water trying to use a traditional snorkel. The face mask on this is tiny, which is good, because my child is small. One of the pictures in the listing recommends this for children ages 6-12, but I could not see this mask fitting a child older than 7. The ball in the snorkel tube did prevent water from being sucked into the snorkel. Given the size of this, I could not try it out on myself so had to rely on my 5-year old as a test subject - when he used it, there did seem to be a little water that got into the mask, but not enough for him to be distracted from exploring the pool. This could have been due to poor fit/user error, as it is hard to get a 5-year old to take enough time to get the mask positioned perfectly, but for recreational use for a kid, this is a fun snorkel. ... show more
