Description

For six electrifying seasons, no crime series proved more combustible than the Peabody Award-winning Justified. At the explosive center of the action, Western-style, gun-slinging U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) confronts murder, drugs, bank heists, mobsters, crime families, corrupt politicians and even his own tumultuous past – and never backs down. His ultimate adversary is the cunning, complex outlaw Boyd Crowder (Walter Goggins), but the real wild card is Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter), the mysterious woman torn between the two men and both sides of the law. From creator Graham Yost and based on legendary author Elmore Leonard’s crime novella “Fire in the Hole,” it all leads to a perfectly unexpected final showdown.

  • The secrets of "Bloody Harlan".....
Another reviewer said...."great work of fiction about 'Hill Justice' in Kentucky! Kudos to the writers and producers..." Here's the scoop, after the first season when those fine writers & producers arrived in Harlan KY., met my brother & sis in law, the rest was NOT fiction. They were actual true stories about real people told to the crew who hung out on my brother's big porch sipping fine bourbon each night after filming next door or at the bank which is a pizza place now, or my bro's previous house with the charred black walls in the garage from the unfortunate fella who got "blowed up" in there. I can hear my sis in law saying" I can do you one better than that!!! She proceeded to gather the historical information for them! What a tumultuous history in a town situated on the side of a mountain which is referred to as "bloody Harlan". ....and that's not the only "fiction" movie/series that came from bloody Harlans history. I recommend it, and when you see anything crazy, you can say "daaamn, that really happened?!" 😉 ... show more

  • Got as a gift
My husband really likes the Justified TV series. Unfortunately, to watch it now he would have to rent each episode from a streaming service. I got him the entire series so he can watch it whenever he wants without driving up a large rental charge.

  • Get the Blue Ray. Do NOT BUY the DVDs!
I originally bought the DVDs. I don't know if it is how they packaged them or what but they don't play well if at all. I ended up watching half of some episodes and others you couldn't even start. After struggling with the first 2 disks I returned them. Bought the Blue Rays (not the most expensive set) and they work perfectly. You also may not realize how your eyes adjust to expect HD now. But the DVD's even when they played looked terrible. ... show more

  • Great plot and set in Harlan County!
A great work of fiction about 'Hill Justice' in Kentucky! Kudos to the writers and producers who have presented characters with personal depth and not just giving viewers another parade of hillbilly mockery.
