  • I Love Beetlejuice Beetlejuice So Much!
I absolutely love this movie. I laughed out loud so many times the first time I saw it and every time since. The more times you view it, the more details you discover. It’s filled with so many great and interesting characters and a more in depth look at the Neitherworld. While many say Delores was a “throw away character “, I disagree. If nothing else, her entrance is amazing and memorable. Fans of the animated series are treated to a lot of things that will feel familiar and are really translated well into live action. I absolutely loved those elements. The sets, costumes, makeups and practical effects are all stunning. The soundtrack was also amazing. Danny Elfman really made the closing theme even better. Honestly, I can’t wait to listen to Tim Burton’s director’s commentary. All the original actors, as well as the new additions were great. I just hope they announce Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice soon! ... show more

  • It fully brough back my childhood
I loved seeing the storyline continue and the actors back. It was full of fun and lots of laughter. You have a few different stories going on in the movie which was nice touch. It was great reliving my childhood favorite movie. The only down parts for me was I wish they did more time with Astride father story and I wish Lydia had married Beetlejuice finally, would have loved that. I was sad that they killed the mom too. The only part that I felt did not fit was the whole Beetlejuice ex-wife story, I could of cared less about it. Other wise it was another great step in making a part 2. Amazing cast together again. ... show more

  • Was an enjoyable ride!
As both a film critic and as a Beetlejuice fan, here is my review of the second movie: First the Con: Two of the characters were kind of pointless (I’ll let you figure that one out, cause I don’t want to spoil it for you)… That was my biggest issue with the movie. Next the Pros: it was great seeing Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton back on the screen together! Catherine O’Hara was good and over the top just like in the first one! I can’t tell you how much Jenna Ortega reminds me of Winona Ryder when she was a kid (I could see her doing a remake of Heathers). I enjoyed watching this on the big screen and looking forward to seeing it again as well watching the Special Features! ... show more

  • A fresh and great modern follow up to a classic film 👻
Absolutely loved the new sequel film BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE I seen it opening weekend and was not disappointed a great sequel. So to all you haters if you start comparing it with the original film scene for scene of course you are not going to have a good time it’s different and still keeps that charm of the original film but that being said it definitely stands on it own two feet and continues the story in a new, fun and innovative direction all you need is one more great follow up and you would have a perfect trilogy to end the story with. ... show more

  • My mom and I went to see this movie yesterday. Here are my thoughts.
This review is for the new movie released in 2024. I see a bunch of reviews for the original in here for some reason. I love the first movie. I remember watching it as a kid. I just watched it again two days ago. Such cool effects. Great acting. Cool music and great sets. So, I was looking forward to the new one. Didn’t like it. I found it cool how they used the same type of tricks and effects from the first. I understand that it continues the story from the first movie. I like the actors. But, if you take the first movie, take out the cool story, make the actors seem less interested and or excited about the thing and add a bunch of random things that seem to just add clutter, then you have the second. I got tired of if after, maybe an hour. I mean, there didn’t seem to be anything going on. A couple sadder things happened, I guess. But the story just didn’t draw me in. Moments happened and I knew exactly what they were going to become. It just, had nothing going on. I will say, they left the end open for another movie. I would see it. I did like the ideas. Those that existed, I guess. But why have a movie, that is moving such a classic story forward, if you’ve not a fantastic script. It reminded me of the types of movies one would see as a kid around halloween. I did say that I liked how they used the same types of tricks they did in the original. But, why not add new stuff. It just felt like an old movie that never got released until now. ... show more

  • Fantastic Movie
Love this film. Watched it three times now and it just keeps getting better. I think only real sourpusses don't like this movie - it's snappy, smart and chaotic, and FUN. It's a perfect sequel!!
