Immediate heat. Extra bulb. 2 chains to hang it with. My only concern is the bulbs are glass and therefore may break if you have ducklings which like to splash so take that into consideration when buying and height.

Put 2 of these in the coop before the zero temps hit and so glad I did. Hung one over the waterer and it has kept the girls water from freezing at zero degrees. Purchased a third one after setting up these 2 . Well built and has to be safer than the clamp on type. I ordered spare bulbs also for the just in case thing. This broader heater works great! It is so much better than the electric panel heaters that have become popular recently. This thing gives off a good amount of heat and I love that it has a two temperature settings and two different bulb watts available for different temperatures. However, the two bulbs didn't come labeled so it is hard to say which one is which and be careful with them because they are very fragile. I used this to keep my chickens warm when the temps dropped below freezing and it did a fabulous job. I will be getting more for next winter. ... show more

This lamp comes with two chains, and two bulbs. According to the Amazon listing, the two bulbs are different wattages. The boxes the bulbs come in, however, don't indicate which bulb is which wattage. That would be helpful info. I opted not to hang the light from my garage rafters, and purchased a pole for heat lamps. This worked out way better for me. The lamp works as stated, but be careful with the bulbs. They are super fragile. The heat lamp is for my feral cat that lives in my garage. He has other heat options, also, but this will be placed where his wet food will be, so that it doesn't freeze solid before he can finish it. Very satisfied with how it functions. ... show more
