My daughter wanted this dinosaur so bad, she loves the fact that it can eat other small dinosaurs. Compartment open under dinosaurs to easily remove the dinosaurs it has eaten. The normal price is definitely alot but I caught it on sale so I had to buy it, best gift ever!

He saw this toy on a YouTube channel and was absolutely obsessed with it. When he got his own money for Christmas, he immediately wanted to get this and he wasn't disappointed in the least. The toy is ginormous. It's one of the biggest dinosaur toys I have ever seen. He loves that he can gobble up so many of his tiny dinosaurs that he has in his collection and it stands on its own. There is a trap door in its stomach you can open up to pull the toys out that the dinosaur "ate." As a mom, I love that this trap door is secure enough to keep everything in, but not so hard to open that he can't pull it open to start the feeding frenzy all over again. I love the sturdiness of the dinosaur and the details that have gone into the toy are actually very impressive. He picks this toy up and carries it everywhere. It gets slammed into walls and his dinos all get slammed together in epic battles all over the living room, including times where this colossal Dino gets knocked off the table (about 2.5 feet off the ground) by the T-Rex, who wants to put him in the "lava." This Dino has seen some tough times, but there is not a single crack or signs of weakness in any joint. I won't lie, I wasn't interested in spending so much money on a toy for a 4-year-old, and we never would have gotten it without the gift card he got for Christmas, but this brand has won me over and the price tag really does match up to the size and quality of the toy. So if you are wondering if the price is validated, from a mom who has half a million different Dino toys lying all over the house to compare it to, I would say yes. ... show more

A friend had the tyrannosaurus version of this and when I went to look it up, this version was on sale for $34 and I couldn't say no. Two things that are annoying: 1) it doesn't stand up easily and falls over whenever touched. It has joints that can be turned around at the ankles, wrists, and tail as well as the legs and arms, which would theoretically make it a lot more fun to play with, but in reality, it means that the moment any of them are adjusted (whether on purpose or just by shifting when opening its mouth), it falls over. Whenever she plays with this, 90% of the time it's her asking me to stand it back up for her. The weight isn't proportioned well, so it's never a simple fix. I have to readjust every joint to get it to stand, and once she touches it, it falls over again. The only work around I have for this is to prop it up against the couch or table. 2) it doesn't come with the tiny dinosaurs. Yes, I realize now in tiny print they have it written on the one picture, but it shows them on the box, which is very misleading at a glance. We have a gazillion tiny dinosaurs, but I bought this as a birthday gift that she'd open out of town at the beach thinking it'd be perfect since it was all in one and I wouldn't have to pack/keep track of anything extra. Boy was she disappointed when we realized she'd have nothing to feed it. So, I had to track down a place to buy even more tiny dinosaurs, which we didn't need. I understand this was my fault, but I'm just writing it here in case someone just looks at the pictures of the box like I did. I'd personally give this 2 stars but since she still loves it, it gets 4. ... show more

This thing is HUGE. And absolutely perfect for a 2-year-old. Want to be the favourite aunt? Favourite uncle? Get this and some smaller dinos that this one can eat. You get glares from your siblings, but your nieces and nephews think you're the best, so it's fine.
