Give this rug 3.5 The rug came more muted than expected. At certain angles on the camera it looks greener than it actually is dont be fooled. I’m learning to love it he color slowly but surely. just wish it wasn’t advertised to be greener. It came with a bad chemically smell that easily went away after ab a week. And I hand scrubbed it with cleaner to help speed the process up. It’s very soft to touch and lights up our living room. Recommend if ur looking for a soft fairy core looking carpet. This rug is so soft and comfortable. I placed it directly under a table. There's not high foot traffic by this area but I love stepping on it when I sit at the table. For the price, it's a great rug to add a cozy homey feel.

Fibres are weird and that may be explained by the synthetic materials. The bottom of the rug does NOT slide on linoleum however the fibres on top surface have a "slippery" sensation to the naked foot. These don't feel good under my feet. It feels like I'm walking on nylons. The color and appearance are good however there is no cushion or comfort, and it is not supporting or plush underfoot. I'd describe it as visually appealing but aesthetically lacking; insofar as being inviting in any other way, it's not. Nothing personal; it's simply lacking, and feels sort of thin and stringy underfoot. I've a different shag rug from another manufacturer and, with that one, you definitely know you're standing on something plush, inviting and consoling to tired feet; it feels good! This purchase here, not so much. Had I nothing to compare it to then maybe I'd be more content with this purchase. I may remove it from the bath and instead use for dirty boots at the front door for the winter. I can't imagine it would hold dirt or water, however; meaning, if it wasn't for the rubber backing, then everything else (like soil or sand granules) would likely easily sift through the thin weave, probably. I'd not buy this again. I'd go with a better thicker quality. However, if you don't need that then it will work very well for appearance sake!
