  • A lot of bang for the buck.
The media could not be loaded. This monocular works surprisingly well given the price, comes with everything you need besides the batteries. The zoom could be better but you the picture when in focus is much sharper and of better quality than I thought I’d get. Good rechargeable batteries make all the difference in getting as much play time as you’ll need but all in all I am pretty impressed with the picture quality, the feel of the device in your hands and then overall build quality, doesn’t seem like some cheap lightweight junk when you hold it and it the definition speaks for itself in total darkness or low light. My only critiques would be that I wish you could see a bit further or zoom/see further and that maybe an “auto focus” feature or button. I’d give this monocular a solid 8.5-9 out of 10. Def happy with this purchase ... show more

  • Decent little night vision camera and camcorder
This is a very nice little camcorder with night vision. However, it's not really a monocular. It is nice and light. Compact styling and easy to use. The picture quality is fine. The night vision is of course a little grainy. When placed up to the eye, it was virtually impossible for me to see anything and I had to hold it away from my eye to see the screen, which is why I say it's not really a monocular. It was fun to play around and very well priced with but not exactly what I was looking for. It will be good to keep in the vehicle for those "you never know" moments when you just might need to record something in the dark. ... show more

  • Very compact, very reasonably priced
I bought this for “Bigfoot hunting” with my sister (I know...it’s all in good fun!) I wanted something very small for my pocket or purse that I could carry around with me and use at a moments notice. This is a compact little device that fit very easily in my small purse. It works well for both day as a monocular as well as night actually. The night vision is pretty standard tech, relatively speaking, but great quality for the price. It’s also easy to use, yet has several options that I’m still exploring. But for a straight up night vision device that can snap photos and take short videos, it’s perfect. Again my favorite feature is it’s compactness. Light and reliable. ... show more

  • Not real night vision but would still be fine for most people.
After using this for an hour I've decided to return this item. I have a lot of experience with gen 1 and 2 night vision and this is my first experience with a low cost digital night vision system. This does not even come close to gen 1. Without the IR illumination, the camera in my Samsung A51 had better low light sensitivity in real time viewing. I can see this being great for people wanting to view the wildlife in their backyard and the like with the IR on. Even with the naked eye, that IR illumination is going to be obvious at the camera from a distant observer. I was really hoping that the camera's sensor would be much more sensitive. Pros: comes with 32 GB card, reasonably well built for the price, does work reasonably well with the IR on, most people will be happy with this product. Cons: screen way too bright, needs diopter lens so that you can put it up to your eye, rather low sensitivity without the IR illumination, pictures are not good quality. Buy this for casual night viewing but understand what you are buying and its limitations. ... show more

  • All around fantastic product!!
This monocular is a fantastic product for the price. The seven stages of night vision work great, as does the twist focus at the end of the lenses. I was able to get very clear night time pictures of animals out to 60-80 yards. The ability to take pictures and video during the day or night make this monocular that much more worth it. A few criticisms would be the digital zoom does pixilate the picture at longer distances, and it does not come with a carrying case. Added bonus is the memory card it comes with. Also I received mine four days early!! This product is very compact, fits in the hand nicely, and very easy to operate. It also easily fits into my tactical pockets on my vest and pants. You wont find all these quality day and night capabilities for a better price. I would definitely buy this product again. ... show more

  • Reviews are legit and this does the job!
Pros: 1. Cool unit for the price 2. Can work as a video camera or just a camera for pictures 3. Compact and lightweight 4. Ease of use 5. Clarity in both day time and night time 6. Not a NVG where it's green like in the movies, it's more like the grayish night time CCTV video Cons: 1. None so far Neutral: 1. I don't know if it is 4x, but it is a fixed 2-3x zoom so just expect the FOV to be like that 2. I don't know about viewing in darkness up to 650 ft, temper expectations, it does it grainier the further you point it and adjust the focus Keep in mind, I just use this for fun in the dark and plan to use this in the woods/hiking when it's late. I only went with this because of the reviews and the photos/videos people posted and so far, it lives up to it. Honest review, I was not paid or compensated for this and I bought it at full price, just a small flex. ... show more

  • Not worth it.
I had to write this review again, because of a permissionary setting I had to reset on my phone for Amazon in order for me to take a picture for my brutally honest review. Only thing good about this whole thing is the case cover. It’s bright yellow and black. The camera sadly is junk. Five batteries ?!? Why not four or six? Why five? Anyway. The zoom and depth, it seems to be only good when it’s indoors. And only good when it’s close up. to zoom out becomes blurry .. The infrared seems to work the best if it’s entirely dark and indoors. Outdoors, not so much.. I even went to a very dark place, still even a slightest light straying into the camera vision threw it off. Though, the camera did give me a lot creepy feelings, almost as if it was from 1989 only shrunk ... only perk about it it might make a good paranormal experience video, I think. Welcome to some really creepy photos I took... now yes, I am going to return this monocular I’m sorry.. I won’t expect the gift after returning this camera but at least you got a honest review from me. thank you all. ... show more
