I’ve never bought paint pens before so I guess I have nothing to compare to, BUT got these for a birthday party craft and they worked well. The kids (ages 9-10) were easily able to make wonderful details on their creations (wooden cars they were giving a custom paint job)

I bought these paint pens to do crafts with my grandchildren ages 2, 5, & 8. They seemed like a great idea and a great concept for painting with them! The colors were great, but when we tried to paint with them, they broke. (You have to “prime the pen” to get the paint colors to flow down) I had to try to push the absorbent “stick” back into the pen & it was very messy, which defeated one of my reasons for getting them.
