  • BLUEJAY from JOYO's BantamP series is a very compact and portable 20 Watt tube head. is an amp that got its name not from its feathered friend by the same name but rather from the fact that it can be a great companion for Blues and Jazz.
  • It's warm clean tones are reminiscent of the classic amps that came out of California all those years ago. It can do more than clean though, it can also deliver rich overdrive tones that make you want to play those pentatonic licks all day long.
  • The BLUEJAY also has a "Normal" channel that can take pedals really well, which makes it flexible and a great little companion for many situations where your "big" head is just not sensible.
  • The amp operates with a single 12AX7 tube in the preamp and uses a solid state power amp. the FX loop enables you to put your time based effects (or Phasers, Flangers and Choruses) behind the drive section and keep the effects sharp and not prevent them from being too muddy.
  • The icing on the cake is the Bluetooth connectivity is great to practice with PlayAlongs or to learn songs. Careful, the amp is small, but loud... its 20 Watts can be quite a handful. If you want to practice quietly, use the built in headphone out with speaker emulation.

    • Clean low gain amp.
I can’t compare it to the original Blues Driver it is supposed to replicate but as a low gain portable amp, it’s a good option. When I say low gain, I mean I had it dimed out to get even a whiff of overdrive. For clean applications it’s great out of the box. I love the Bluetooth option, it has an effects loop, and works great with pedals. I added a simple MXR Micro Amp pedal between the guitar and amp (not using the effects loop) and it comes alive as a gritty blues machine. 20 watts is plenty to annoy neighbors and house mates alike. ... show more

Was looking forward to this, but it did not work. I heard a very faint sound coming from inside, but nothing made it work. Sent it back. Going to go with something else.

Needed a headphone amp to practice with, and this thing is great. I'm getting a nice tone from the guitar, and the Bluetooth works great when using backing tracks.

Great tone! This cute little guy paired with a 10 inch Vox speaker is monstrous. Playing my ES-339 throught it is an eargasm. Great small venue amp. I rigged up the amp and speaker in two milk crates stacked and zip tied together. Just grab and go.

Im a steel player and use this amp. It has a ton of headroom and plenty loud enough for small to medium gigs. The tube sound is fantastic. Love this little jewel .!!!!

    • OK amp for the money but make sure to use a good speaker cab for the best sound.
I like the price and the build quality seems to be good...so far. I dont know why they call it a 2 channel amp because it is not. Unless they consider the Bright switch to be a channel. I am not sure about the wattage rating either because it is rated at 20 watts but my monoprice stage right 15 watt tube amp blows this Joyo away. But for the money it is a good little amp and it handles effects boxes really good too. ... show more
