  • Excellent little adapter, just beware they won't work with condensers or lavaliers
These work great. I use them with a Shure PGA58 mic and they sound just as good as wired. No noticeable latency/delay. The only downside is that the transmitter doesn't provide phantom power so it doesn't work with condenser mics (like ribbon or lavalier/lapel mics)

  • Great Way to Have a Wireless Mic Instead of Wired.
As a working sound technician, I use this product as a 'talk back' microphone at various venues I work at. I simply plug the receiver into the mixing board, the transmitter onto a microphone I have with an on/off switch, and send that to the stage monitors. Allows me to move around the room and talk to the band during sound check, since I mix using a wireless iPad. Very handy. You can also use this combo for a wireless vocal mic, but the sound quality is not quite as good as a wired mic. Good enough to get by though. Overall, works well at a decent price. ... show more

  • Good simple option of converting wired microphones with some deficiencies
Wireless microphone adapter was tested with Mackie 1202-VZL3, Sure SM58 and SM57 with Rockit speaker as well as external amplifier and speakers. It was tested in both smaller room as well as at a distance around 50 ft. Design: Design is circular with short antenna and two buttons, power and channel. Charging port for internal battery is micro USB. Dual head micro USB cable included in the package. Device came charged to about 75%. Package in small box with foam slots, nice and simple. On a design, one issue and one suggestion. first for the issue. Diameter of the base that plug in to mixer a bit too big where two receivers can not be installed in adjacent ports. No issues with wired connectors in adjacent port. Second, suggestion, it would be nice to associate different color LED ring with different channels so you can instantly see what microphone belong to which channel. Would be easier to identify devices. Since I had only one test set, that wasn't an issue. Build quality: Made out of combination of plastic and what looks and feels like metal. Silver portion is metal, the rest looks like normal plastic without any coating. I like having no coatings as all of them deteriorate at some point. Operation: Once devices peered changing channel on one of them makes second move to the same channel, nice feature. Device didn't exhibit any drops and operated reliably throughout few hours of testing. Battery life was good and I didn't actually tested past few hours. Sound quality: Sound was fairly good with good dynamic range (microphone) but unfortunately it had some higher frequency noise. Noise could be lowered via 12.5KHz tone knob and I didn't test to see if any external interference could be attributing to it. Once you have somewhat noisy environment this would be hidden under the other noise but in quiet place you can definitely hear it. Value: I think it may be a decent value for money but if you need multiple channels and especially with smaller mixer where you need to utilize adjacent ports, it my become an issue. I decided to return it and will be looking for multichannel solution of something a bit smaller in diameter. ... show more

  • Solid performance for a very reasonable price
Battery life has been excellent so far. I have 4 sets of these and they are still fairly new, but they work as intended and haven’t had any interference issues. They are a little bit chunky, so you can’t put them in adjacent XLR spaces on the mixer (plus they block enough of the neighboring space you can’t use a regular xlr cable next to it. I’ve mostly used them in conjunction with xvive power boxes and pencil condensers for choirs and I’ve been very pleased with the sound results. I’ve noticed my SM58 and Super55 noticeably lost punch on these versus a wired connection. But a little more gain boost compensates. Also, they go on sale frequently — if you pay more than $87.50 you should’ve waited a week. ... show more

  • Amazing
This has come in so handy that I don't know how I managed without it. I have used it both with a microphone to pa and plugged into my DI out on my am to a powered speaker. Great device.

  • Works well
I bought this for church use, and it works great with a dynamic mic, but if you're using a condenser mic, you need to add a phantom power source between the mic and the transmitter. Overall really happy with it though - it has good range and feels like a decent quality product. I also bought a KIMAFUN UHF Wireless Mic System that does have phantom power on the transmitter, but the quality feel is much lower than the JOYO set, and the signal reception (at least without the additional antennas installed) is not impressive. ... show more

  • About 5% vocal missing signal
This was use for a microphone karaoke system, and I noticed about about 5% of vocals missing due to signal loss, even though it was only 10 to 15 ft away direct line of sight, unobstructed. For vocals, you cannot have any loss of signal during singing. For speaking only PA system that may be ok, but even that may frustrate someone. Not sure if it goes to sleep mode on the transmission, but when you are quiet for some seconds and restart the singing, there is a slight loss of signal causing the sung word to be loss or lower volume, then it will be normal volume afterwards. It tends to happen more during those situations. The transmission volume is also slight lower than wired. When used as a wireless line-in on a powered speaker, it does not have line in volume so you would have to adjust your speaker volume accordingly. Sound quality was good though. I bought another brand that is around $189 to $199 and its signal is superb, and the spl (loudness of volume) and sound is pretty close to on par with direct wired with the microphones, and it has a line in switch to connect to the line in for powered speaker too. It starts with "X". I kept the "X" brand, and had to return this joyo brand even though the X brand was costlier. If this joyo brand can resolve those issues and increase the spl, and especially with it being on the 5.8ghz band, it would be a keeper with its current price. ... show more

  • Use for live performances all the time!
I bought this item to go along with my acoustic guitar rig for single performance shows. I could not be any more pleased with it's performance and longevity. I typically play a 2 hour show and this guy gets me thru sound check to the encores!
