This is a really great replacement stereo for my 2019 Honda Civic LX. The installation was very easy as there are plenty of YouTube videos to show how to do it. All the wiring adapters were included so you can just plug in the new radio to the existing Honda wiring. The screen looks great and the touch screen is very responsive. The sound quality was much better than the stock radio. I did change out my stock speakers which was far more difficult to do than installing the new Joying stereo, but I did test the stereo with the stock speakers and it does still sound good. Setting up the system is fairly straight as the menus are pretty intuitive. The wireless connection for the Apple CarPlay is a little slow, about 10 - 15 seconds. The only negative is that the stereo does not come with a manual and although the menu is fairly intuitive, there are many options that I have no idea what they are. I did end up contacting Joyings customer service to ask about some set-up options. Their customer service is very good and they respond quickly. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and it looks so much better than my stock radio. ... show more

This is the best head unit out there for the 10th gen civic! I was skeptical about purchasing at first because I’ve heard about how aftermarket apple carplay head units are very laggy but I have had zero issues with this unit. An absolute must have if you have a Civic LX with the crappy small 4in display. Zero delay and connects to my phone wirelessly when I turn the car on. Sound quality is improved from stock also. Has a beautiful appearance fitting inside the car and great amount of value you get for your money especially if you get yours on sale like I did! ... show more

    • Great unit, but not for me, too many small things don't work...

This 9" Joying head unit is a great fit for my 2016 Civic Touring, however, after 3 days installed, I have found the unit does not meet my operational requirements. Too many of the features I take for granted either don't function correctly or as I am used to, making it difficult to keep. It is unbelievably easy to install, with removal of only 4 screws and requiring only 2 of the 4 to reinstall, however even though the wiring harness is primarily plug and play, there are some functions in use that make it a no-go in my opinion: out of the box 1) the Lanewatch camera, tho functional only with a right turn signal, does not function with the factory stalk button (no turn signal used), 2) the reverse guide lines do not match up with intended centering of the vehicle making reversing perilous and accident prone because your normal sight lines are now skewed and misplaced, 3) when the OEM A/C controls are activated, it indicates AC is always OFF, when it is not, but tapping OFF will turn the A/C off tho no display changes (e.g. to exit out of the Auto function) plus it only display temperature in celsius NO farenheit, 4) the forward collision warning is now set to LONG and inadvertently is constantly triggered and is unable to be adjusted thru the unit's settings, 5) with the AC set to off and intended to just blow fresh air, the unit is blowing noticeably warm air even tho the outside ambient temperature is significantly colder, this does not happen with the factory unit 6) the unit cold boots on every vehicle start, requiring waiting for the unit to fully boot before reversing, if done so before the startup sequence is done, the reverse camera is shown, but the guidelines are not present, 7) Carlink does not remember its settings, so if you exit the app (e.g. CarPlay), it requires that you tap back into the function you were previously already showing since it only returns to the icon home screen, diverting your attention from the road momentarily 8) alert volume e.g. warnings in Waze or directions in Maps, are same volume as the normal audio, whereas in the OEM unit, audio and warning volumes are separate and one can be louder than another to provide focus, 9) the Speak button no longer functions, and does not initiate Siri (when in CarPlay) or any voice functions. Hence, I have returned the unit. The display looks amazing and CarPlay in HD really is something to behold, however, for me, a lot of the features above not working as expected creates an unnecessary safety hazard I don't need to deal with with the OEM unit. I will look towards finding another head unit from Joying that may be able to provide a more complete operational experience, as their support responses are quick, complete, helpful and genuine! The media could not be loaded. * updated review: 05/07/24 this worked great and I loved the brightness of it and the features but it stopped working and no longer displays anything on the screen. It’s just a plain black screen when I try to connect to Apple car play or do anything else on it. The only screen that will show is the android Home Screen (the ocean theme) so unfortunately I may have received a refurbished or defective one I loved the way this looked but am so disappointed it only lasted me a little over a week until it stopped working. I have a 2016 civic LX and I was really wanting to upgrade the stereo and I was hesitant on spending so much on this unit since there is cheaper ones available on Amazon but I can say this one is 100x better than the cheaper ones that I had in previously. This one was way easier to install and so quick to set up. The color and contrast is great and the touch screen is really responsive. I returned the cheaper one because it wasn’t bright enough during the day when I would drive I couldn’t see my maps or other apps and the camera was so dark was useless. This one is far better and gives me more features that I had with my stock radio. It makes my car feel and look like a newer model. I love that the led buttons on the left chance colors (you can change it to a solid color but I like the rotation). This one is easier to use as far as making changes to the settings and needing to adjust to your liking. This has been worth the money so far and I’m glad I spent the extra money. This was extremely easy to install. It definitely took less than 30 minutes. Nothing complicated about it at all. Anyone could do it. Once installed it's extremely easy to use. Android auto works great every time. Music definitely is way louder than with the stock head unit. Definitely worth the price. All of the wiring is just plug and play which is nice. No splicing wires. Screen size is definitely nice, especially compared to stock. ... show more
