This is a true Android 10 Car Stereo. Beware of sellers in China offering fake (newer) versions of Android, car stereos because they are most likely to be older versions of Android that has been patched to show a fake version number. This Joying stereo is loaded with features, including watching videos while car is in motion, support for full screen AHD backup camera, hardware based Digital Signal processor, support for 256GB micro SIM card to store your music and videos, and much more. Be aware that the later Dodge Challengers have a different dashboard which will not allow this 11.6 inch screen. stereo uses the UIS7862 Octacore 2.0GHz, which is notably faster and better supported by third party firmware than the QCM6125 Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. To learn more about third party firmware and other modifications, visit the XDA Developers forum, and search for "General FYT based Spreadtrum uis7862(s) (unisoc ums512) & uis8581a (sc9863) - Q&A, Mods, tips, firmware" forum. If you are installing this in a Dodge Challenger, contact Joying for their $50 Dodge/Jeep wiring harness which plugs into the Challengers factory radio harness, and allows your Steering Wheel control buttons to adjust the volume, pause, forward or reverse the current song or video, and more. Another option is to buy a wireing harness from PAC Audio RP4-CH11 RadioPRO4 Interface. While this is the largest size screen to fit the early Challengers, it will partly cover your 3 climate control knobs, but they are still usable. I modified the climate control faceplate using a Dremel tool to lower those knobs a bit allowing them to be fully visible. Apple carplay is always in verification mode. The screen will just decide to get real foggy and eventually will go blank The screen will freeze while using GPS and your phone is still connected so you cannot see where you are going. After 2 years I can honestly say this was one of the worst purchases ever ... show more

Great product - I wanted bluetooth, cameras - back and front, Android Auto, and the Torque App, plus a lot of other Android Apps. I have been running the unit for 3 months at time of review. 1) 2nd upgrade to my 2005 Ford Excursion. Replaced a Kenwood DNX5140. To my surprise - it sounds way better than the Kenwood. With the sound profiles you can create the perfect sound profiles for music, video, etc. At this point, why anyone isn't using an Android Head unit amazes me. Joying in my research is the best. 2) I debated the screen size and chose what worked for me, 11.6". I actually made templates of the different sizes because I wanted the largest screen size without blocking existing components. 3) I adapted a Metra wiring harness, soldered all connections on the head unit to the harness - thus it plugs into the existing ford harness 4) I originally wanted a Single DIN, but Amazon only had the Double DIN. To get the vertical mounting location I wanted without blocking the AC controls I did modify the mounting pins on the front metal bracket of the head unit. This allowed me to use all 4 pins from the screen to the head unit and gave me more vertical adjustment. 5) I run my own ODBC connector and it works fine. 6) All steering wheel controls for the stereo work great without an adapter. The head unit has a learning program that reads the resistance of each button and you can assign the function. GREAT FEATURE. Finally, for the Ford Excursion or F250 from these years, you will be removing the dash bezel and modifying the opening (previously done for the kenwood install) If you aren't comfortable with routing cables, wiring, and cable management this is not for you.     • I want to like it, but Android Auto not great
Android Auto needs some app on the phone that can't be downloaded from playstore. I can't get it to work without it, and I'm not exited about downloading some odd app from an unknown source. That's 50% of what I bought it for. At least it has it's own native google maps and GPS, so I can navigate....just not as good and not what I expected. The other reason I wanted it was for the reverse camera and a bigger/better picture. Using with the Joying camera. This works well. Camera image is clear and bright. The radio works ok but with no buttons or knobs it's not practical. Support is responsive and helpful but documentation is poor (at least for English) ... show more

I have JOYING Carplay Stereo 11.6 Inch Octa Core Double Din in my 2010 Toyota Tundra SR5. I have factory stereo control on my steering wheel, so I got this Joying Toyota Universal/Hilux wire harness from JOYING website, so it can be plug and play. Works great.

I owned another android radio for some years, a PX6. I was having issues with it overheating when it was really hot out or my car was parked in the sun. This one uses a different processor and has been working great. It is much snappier than the PX6. I bought the wiring harness directly from Joying and it was basically just plug and play on a Toyota Tundra. Make sure you go into the settings to set the car for the steering wheel controls. It is a wonderful improvement on my previous stereo and without lag. Only downside is it does not allow for a front camera unless you use Joying dash cam but I can live with that. Also Toyota has a weird built in mic so you can't use that. I used the supplied mic and haven't had any complaints. The metro dash kit for the Tundra is also too tight to fit the stereo so buy an alternative. And the CarPlay app works much better than on the PX6 but I prefer the android interface. ... show more

Live wallpapers disappear and will not communicate with my Vehicle and can only get a few buttons to work. Google voice will only open up the Webb and not make calls etc... Not worth $600.
