This is a true Android 10 Car Stereo. Beware of sellers in China offering fake (newer) versions of Android, car stereos because they are most likely to be older versions of Android that has been patched to show a fake version number. This Joying stereo is loaded with features, including watching videos while car is in motion, support for full screen AHD backup camera, hardware based Digital Signal processor, support for 256GB micro SIM card to store your music and videos, and much more. Be aware that the later Dodge Challengers have a different dashboard which will not allow this 11.6 inch screen. stereo uses the UIS7862 Octacore 2.0GHz, which is notably faster and better supported by third party firmware than the QCM6125 Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. To learn more about third party firmware and other modifications, visit the XDA Developers forum, and search for "General FYT based Spreadtrum uis7862(s) (unisoc ums512) & uis8581a (sc9863) - Q&A, Mods, tips, firmware" forum. If you are installing this in a Dodge Challenger, contact Joying for their $50 Dodge/Jeep wiring harness which plugs into the Challengers factory radio harness, and allows your Steering Wheel control buttons to adjust the volume, pause, forward or reverse the current song or video, and more. Another option is to buy a wireing harness from PAC Audio RP4-CH11 RadioPRO4 Interface. While this is the largest size screen to fit the early Challengers, it will partly cover your 3 climate control knobs, but they are still usable. I modified the climate control faceplate using a Dremel tool to lower those knobs a bit allowing them to be fully visible. Works relatively well. Very quirky with which android phones it works with for android auto. Giving it a low review as 5 days after the warranty has expired I have started experiencing tons of issues with the unit. Screen flicker, brightness issues, sound popping and sound cutting out. Stay away, rather get something more reliable. Its disgusting to pay so much for something that only lasts for 2 years. ... show more

I owned another android radio for some years, a PX6. I was having issues with it overheating when it was really hot out or my car was parked in the sun. This one uses a different processor and has been working great. It is much snappier than the PX6. I bought the wiring harness directly from Joying and it was basically just plug and play on a Toyota Tundra. Make sure you go into the settings to set the car for the steering wheel controls. It is a wonderful improvement on my previous stereo and without lag. Only downside is it does not allow for a front camera unless you use Joying dash cam but I can live with that. Also Toyota has a weird built in mic so you can't use that. I used the supplied mic and haven't had any complaints. The metro dash kit for the Tundra is also too tight to fit the stereo so buy an alternative. And the CarPlay app works much better than on the PX6 but I prefer the android interface. ... show more

An excellent aftermarket touch screen / radio. I had it installed in my honda CRV. Works perfectly. Immediately improved the sound quality in the vehicle without any speaker upgrades. Wireless android auto and apple car play work fabulously. Only have run into one issue so far which required me to reset the unit (pop off the screen and click the reset button), but aside from that minor hiccup, I'm loving it. Makes driving so much more enjoyable and because of all the computing power within it, you actually have the power to run heavy duty android apps (youtube, spotify, etc) without even using carplay/android auto. The media could not be loaded. The first one I bought, would not power up. Returned it. Second one worked perfect. Can't rely on owners manual because there isn't one. Too many menus to go to. Resolution is great. Now Android Auto is not responding. Will check further. I have amps pre installed but it seems that this radio doesn't put enough juice for the amps to work specially the subwoofer ... show more

I have JOYING Carplay Stereo 11.6 Inch Octa Core Double Din in my 2010 Toyota Tundra SR5. I have factory stereo control on my steering wheel, so I got this Joying Toyota Universal/Hilux wire harness from JOYING website, so it can be plug and play. Works great.

    • Nice display but oveall a huge disappointment

Positives: The manual's Engrish is better than other brands, it does in fact do split screen and the display itself is bright/clear. Negatives: The audio pre-amp is terrible. Horrible EMI noise from alternator, heated steering wheel, blinkers, basically everything. I have a power filter ordered and will update if it helps. EQ and crossover settings are vauge at best - literally no documentation. Unit seems to be Android 8 not android 10 as advertised. Stock UI is complete garbage. Even with Car Launcher or Agama selected as launcher and 'display over other apps' disabled, the stock launcher still occasionally pops up on boot and/or steals launcher status back. Bluetooth and other system settings are locked down - nova launcher shortcut work around does not work. This means no third party OBD dongle support and no detailed quality settings like AOSP. Transitioning from reverse cam to front cam too quiclkly causes a system freeze. Settings for default boot volume and mute on reverse do not work. TLDR; if you are tone deaf, have money to burn and low enough expectations it might be tolerable. This dumpster fire is definitely not worth the premium price. ... show more
