Worked for 4 months, then the screen quit working, just a black screen. After waiting 7 weeks for replacement parts, it worked for a couple more months before the same issue returned. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone even if I didn’t like them. Update: The seller offered to refund shipping on the first replacement parts that were defective, if I would delete this review. I initially loved this product. I was very excited about the car-play functionality as well as the screen and flexibility it offered in my vehicle, then came the issues with the screen and connecting to the Bluetooth. I live in Texas and as soon as it got about 90-95 in the daytime, the screen gave up. I tried to reseat it several times, but that was temp-fix at best and was short-lived,(maybe a day or two). I am so disappointed that this product is so fragile. It is a great idea, but there has not been the proper testing and fixes made to the very obvious weak areas. At your own risk. ... show more

Pros: Easy to use, install, and functionally is great. The android OS gives you a lot of customization and potential to use for more than a regular head unit. Cons: Overall fitment was not the best (top clips will not stay in), and the Bluetooth occasionally will lag. Having only paid around $350 for it, I can confidently say it was worth the price. It does not have the build quality or quality control as other big manufactures have, but that is what you get for getting a “cheaper” product. If you like to tinker this is the car toy for you. Very happy with the results. The 8 year old truck is in mid refresh. the new HU is a great touch. People comment on the clean install. Newer vehicles with CANBUS can take full advantage of the technology.

JOYING put together a pretty decent package. As with a Android tablet you can customize it anyway you like new backgrounds,different apps on the main screen. I do like the stock fish tank that comes with it. (UPDATE) Moving wallpapers is causing a stuttering effect with Bluetooth music. Connect to the Google Play store to download apps, widgets, Netflix, games. Add a Sim card to it to make it it's own connected unit or use WiFi in the driveway. Apple carplay, Android auto works fine and they can update thru Google services. Android 10 system does not update. Sound quality is pretty good even with my aftermarket JBL 6x9 and 6 1/2 Tacoma. Steering wheel controls are ready to go out of the box using a Camry canbus. I do have a couple annoyances about this system. Biggest one is there is no night mode on the display. No brightness control and it's overwhelming at night. I leave it on Bluetooth playback screen which is the darkest I can find use the pull-down menu and turn off screen. Music does not come on automatically you have to initiate the Bluetooth player at least once. I found steering wheel controls to be the easiest to use. Annoying. Still looking for a backup camera that works with the Tacoma tailgate. Requires an AHD camera and a rewire. No front mount camera options. That's it . Display quality is good. Android auto works great for me. Music is exactly what I wanted. Watch YouTube in the truck. Has an SD card slot in the front of the unit to have 512 gigs of entertainment always ready to play movies,music etc. You're paying for an Android tablet with car software installed and a better DSP amplifier which offers way more than my stock Tacoma ever had.. ... show more

After going round and round with DHL because carjoying shipped this radio so that I had to be at home when it arrived, finally had to take time off work to go tothe next town over and pick it up from the DHL office. What a headache! Finally I got the radio home. It should be smooth sailing now right. I mean this is a plug and play radio. That's why I spent the extra money. NOPE! THINK AGAIN! Nothing in the box says anything about the harness that comes with the unit that makes it plug and play. But it's not hard to figure out. Except for that one plug coming from the truck that's not in the harness. I thought maybe I didn't need it. Well I don't know if I was wrong or right. All I know is the unit is dead. I'm sorry. I aid the extra over the other android radios on here so that I wouldn't have these headaches, but it looks like they got me. Long story short. Don't waist your money on this radio. They don't list it on their website anymore for a reason. ... show more
