I don't know why I stuck with the stock head unit for so long. The stock unit was very simple and had very delayed Bluetooth audio, but with a dash/window mount for my phone it did the job. I am a heavy maps user. So finally I decided to buy a head unit when my mount and phone fell off due to heat again. Installation: It can seem intimidating popping things in and out of your dash. I watched a couple of videos that didn't exactly match my vehicle... So I finally just went for it. It was very easy and only took time because I was being overly cautious. in a 2018 CRV: Tools used: long shank Philips head screw driver, flat head screw driver, Industrial double stick tape, scissors for said tape, and a small magnet (for safety, can skip if your screwdriver wasn't weak like mine was) 1) pop off the aircon controls (yes, they just pop right off) and don't yank them out. You can put the shifter in neutral for more room, and unclip the the panel. 2) undo the 2 screws holding the stock unit in with magnetized screw driver (so not to drop them) 3) pull the unit out and unclip the connectors. 4) transfer the brackets AND CLIPS from the stock unit to the new one. I didn't user the 4g but you can use the same process below for the antennas and try to run them to columns or other spots under dash. 5) reach under dash (is just aplastic covering) and double stick the GPS antenna on the steering wheel column toward the front. This hides the antenna and puts nothing but plastic between it and the sky. Works great there. The other 2 usb ports and sim card holder I just ran through an existing hole into the glove box 6) the only hard part for me was that there were 3 usb ports. one wired and two on the back it seems that the wired one was the OTG port used for android auto. Also.. you have to make sure you hear the click when connecting the usb plug for the in console port. 7) match all the harness plugs. 8) reverse the removal process. Software: EVERYTHING JUST WORKED.. The steering controls, back up camera, etc... and I finally have a GREAT big screen with android auto from my phone. It works over blue tooth AND hard wire. I don't even have to take my phone out anymore. Whats more... if you have a hotspot, or just want to pay for cheap 4g service. You can literally run WAZE or maps on the unit itself since it is an android unit in and of it self. I recommend leaving the safter feature enabled, but the head unit literally does everything your phone can do,. IT LOOKS FACTORY INSTALLED. I know this post seems long, but it probably only took me 30min to swap. I am considering installing the 4g capability if I can find a cheap service for it, and I might even run the OPTIONAL microphone up the driver side column, but everyone heard me on phone calls with default mic. TLDR: I am kicking myself for not upgrading to this sooner. ... show more

As an engineer and tech geek I love this! This is basically a Linux/Android box that integrates with your car’s data bus. It provides all of the functionality of a modern infotainment system and way more. You could even develop your own apps with the Android SDK if you really want to go that far. For those looking for wireless Apple CarPlay - that feature works seamlessly. Either way, you need to be comfortable with operating an Android machine (it’s really not that hard, 70% of phone users around the world use it). Install was pretty easy. You do need to reuse the clips and bracket from the OEM console. The fit is perfect, and the trim is pretty dang close to OEM. Well done Joying! ... show more

If you enjoy the sound of silence, then this radio is perfect for you! My daughter loved everything about this stereo until 2 days ago when it quit working. All of a sudden we can't get any sound out of it. We tried everything we can think of to try to get it to work, but to no avail. I tried to contact customer support via email, but I haven't received any response yet. The radio comes with a 2 year warranty, but it means nothing if you can't get in touch with anyone to give you the support when you need it. I am very dissatisfied in the quality of this product and even more disappointed in the support they put behind it. If the customer support department ever gets back to me to rectify my situation I will update this review. Until then, I can't honestly recommend this stereo to anyone. ... show more

So I took a chance with all the negative reviews, however, I think they’re due to bad installations not the unit itself. First, make sure you buy the right unit! Look at the picture of which one you need. CarPlay, camera, radio, all works fine. I just installed today so if something happens I’ll update the review. But as of now this looks factory installed and WAY better than the stock deck. I wish I knew about this sooner. ... show more

Everything connected like it should. Plug and play. Backup camera worked as well! The only issue I have is Android auto *sometimes* takes a bit to connect when I first start my car. Either than that, it's been great. Big upgrade from the stock stereo.

Firstly I got a professional to install this radio into my 2018 Honda Crv Lx model. I will say this radio is miles above the factory installed radio. I am able to view which doors are opened, manipulate the car temperature, see the graphics for the backup sensor, see several view options for the backup camera. This is a must buy if you want to upgrade your driving experience. Don't worry about the negative reviews, just get a professional and get it installed you will truly be satisfied. I will update as I have this radio for 2 months now, keeping my fingers that it lasts for a couple of years. ... show more

There is no real manual - so it is hard to trouble shoot. Time, date, temperature and worst of all reverse camera don't work. Camera takes too long to come on. The settings options are labelled weirdly and not intuitive at all.
