I bought 2 of these. 1st one - size LG- was too large despite measuring dog per instructions. I kept it because she will grow into it. Bought a medium, adjusted it down and fits well. So I'd say they might run large. But different breeds , different dogs have different size neck. Things I like about these - reflective (my dog is black); very well made; and Martingale collars work well with a dog that pulls without harming the dog like choke collars can. My dog lives to jump, even on leash when she wants to play. She's a puppy at a bit over 50 lbs and 10 months old. Still growing...so that next collar will be used. I've only had the collar for 2 days but I love the design. Owning 3 larger dogs, I purchased this for our new rottie who is over 100 lbs and I like that it seems comfortable on him but if I need to control him I can grab collar and it tightens where he can't slip out of it and I lose him. He was in a horrible situation..living outside for 3 years in a pen so he is still learning having "freedom" and normal day to day routine ... show more
