I bought this journal to use for daily notes. It is super cute and was a great price. The only thing I didn't love was the "subject" pages in the front. I mean it would be cool if I was in school. But, I am not, so I ripped those pages out

Great notebook! Perfect size! The color was exactly what was described and it was perfect for taking notes. And at less then $5 you literally couldn't find it anywhere else cheaper! Save yourself the headache of shopping around and just buy this notebook.

This is an excellent college-ruled A5 notebook. You can see my write-up on my 6 photos, which are there so you can see the details about the notebook. I’m very pleased with how it functions and how it looks. 1. The sturdy, hard covers have a pleasingly smooth surface and the sage green is attractive. 2. The metal spiral is quite good quality, so the covers and paper pages move smoothly over the spiral. No metal snagging. 3. This opens flat and stays flat, or you can put the covers back to back for a compact one page surface. The elastic binder can hold any configuration in place. 4. I tested bleed-through with a ball-point pen, a Flair felt-tip pen, a Sakura black Permapaque permanent marker, and a colored pencil for layering with pencil. There was no bleed-through, and I was able to layer colored pencil on the smooth but not slickly textured paper. 5. The last page is plastic, with a folder built into both sides. Works well for clipping a pen into the book. 6. The paper has a slight light cream tint, which is very subtle and likable. The paper is heavier than copier paper, but not like hand-made, heavy kraft or card stock paper. I’m not sure what its measured thickness is. You will pay much more money for “artist-grade” paper, so I like the combination here of reasonable price with good, but not top, quality paper that is non-bleed-through. 7. There is no annoying sticker or embossed branding on the covers. Yay. SUMMARY: this is a very good notebook in quality, and it is aesthetically pleasing to use. This will be great for teaching, note-taking, journaling or as a travel journal. I took extra time with this review because this affordably priced notebook is better than many competitors, but it can be hard to judge that online. This notebook is of excellent quality. The metal spiral is smooth, allowing the covers and pages to move effortlessly without any snagging or skipping. It opens flat and stays flat, or you can fold the covers back for a more compact writing surface. The paper is smooth, and the pages turn easily, making it convenient to toss into a purse or backpack. I love the blank page numbers at the bottom, which work perfectly with the blank table of contents to help you quickly find what you need. Thoughtful features like the front page for personal details (name, phone, email), a clear back pocket, and an elastic strap add to its appeal. The cover to this feels similar to leather, and is nice and thick to protect the pages. It comes with an attached elastic loop that can be used to mark your page or hold the notebook closed. It lays flat with the spiral binding, and is a reasonable price in comparison to similar ones, though I would not pay more than the $4.99 it's currently listed at. ... show more

    • So cute, perfect for college
I got this notebook thinking it would be perfect for my little girls as they are in fourth grade. They love how the notebook looks. However, the teachers told them that it was not suitable for class, so I let them keep it as a nice little daily journal that they get to jot/doodle in about how their day went or any ideas they may have. My one little girl loves to draw, so every time she jots down her daily entry, she draws a cute little picture of to go along with what she wrote. They love the bookmark and they love the little designs on the notebook with the little gold edges, and then my other little girl says is so sophisticated with the calendars and table of contents. They really love it, but I would say this is more of a notebook for a person in college. ... show more
