Going strong after a little over 3 months of near-daily use. I purchased this inexpensive LCD tablet to use for Morning Pages writing practice (from Julia Cameron's 'The Artist's Way'), and I love it! I prefer colorful products over classic black. I chose green, a nice mint color that is soothing and decor-friendly for my home (pictures taken while waiting in the car during an errand; softer color shown in manufacturer pictures is more true). The stylus slots neatly into the frame so it's always ready to use, and the thinness and light weight is very portable. The battery compartment is secured with a screw; no worries about it tumbling out to roll away or be gobbled up by a pet or child. I like being able to write out a page of thoughts and wipe the slate clean with a press of the button, which provides privacy and immediate cleanup (no future paper clutter, yay!). Less legible with tiny handwriting, though that is not an issue for me as I don't intend to re-read what I've written in most cases. If I was using this to post notes around the house, I would write a little larger than usual and it would be fine. In adequate lighting that you'd use for reading, the soft green of the lines provides good contrast against the black background. I highly recommend finding ways to make what you want to do easier and/or more enjoyable whenever you can, and this tool was an excellent buy for me in that regard. ... show more

UPDATE: The first review (below) was too harsh. We got the device to work after some fiddling with the battery contact and the 'lock' switch. We still think it's pretty flimsy, but probably worth the price (given how much everything costs now - mid 2023). So changing to 'OK to buy if you are ok with it being kinda flimsy and kinda low contrast. The screen is very flimsy and does not have enough contrast to use in normal light. The one we received did not work, out of the box the CLEAR button did not function. Tried the extra battery that came with the unit, still did not work. (You can tell if you have the battery in right side up - if you look into the battery compartment you can see the center contact - it comes down from the front of the device. I'm sure it was not that the batteries were dead - checked them, both 3.3v solid. There was only a half sheet of instructions - just labeled the parts, no other useful info.Returned for refund the same day we received. Ok to buy - just know what you are getting (it's not in the same quality as even the cheapest 'real' tablet, for example). ... show more

I use this daily for my job. I talk on the phone and have to take notes on every call. I bought this so I wouldn’t waste paper or have to worry about shredding my notes because I work in the health care industry. This is perfect for my job. I will had to say though, that this is my second one . After a while, I noticed that Writing started to fade on my first one. I think it would’ve lasted longer if I didn’t use it 40+ hours a week. ... show more

I enjoy writing on it, I use it as a grocery list and keep it on the refrigerator. I have a few complaints about it though 1) the pen is VERY tight in the holding area you have to take the tablet off the fridge to yank it out and I usually end up leaving marks on the writing screen when doing that, to fix it I tied a string through the hole in the pen and the hole on the tablet so now it just dangles which is fine 2) the magnets are crap, they stick to the fridge but not the tablet, I think dollar store stickers have better adhesive on them, to fix I used super glue 3) if you mess up or make an accidental mark you have to erase the entire thing ... show more

You simply cannot beat the price for the unit. It’s super light and easy to use. I use mine for work where I typically wrote down personal information that we’re not able to retain. Simply press the erase button and everything gets cleared. The only downside is that there is no eraser option, it’s either all or nothing. The pen is very comfortable to write and draw with.
