I work with and assemble furniture for a living, and must say this is an excellent product. You can use a drill, but I just used the tools it came packaged with. Don't be fooled by more expensive wooden frames, this will not only be a better value, but probably better quality. No parts were bent, and I was able to assemble it without needing an extra set of hands. Honestly, Ive seen a lot of crap from "high end" furniture stores, and this was a pleasure to build. Delivery was early and assembly was so easy we immediately put our temporary matterss on and took a quick nap, "the picture you see" it was before we decorated it. It's a kings size very sturdy which is amazing since I was a little worried. Im honestly beyond amazed. Not a scratch on it and everything fit well. Again very sturdy and we will have an additional king size backboard which I can picture update that is not Included but we felt was necessary for us . I originally wanted to give this frame a 3 star review. It was an absolute nightmare to put together. The Allen wrench it came with immediately stripped making it next to possible to get this thing together. The tool was also sticking inside the screws. Very frustrating. Once I got my own tool, things were much easier-even though still sticking. It didn’t take me too long to put together, less than two hours, but I still felt I needed to rate as such. Then I slept in it. It’s pretty good. The bed I have, albeit expensive, has never been very comfortable for me. This frame makes it wayyyyy more comfortable. It does squeak and sway a tiny bit. IF YOUR HESITATING TO BUY THIS DON'T! I've had my fair share of different bed frames and I was hesitant to buy this one because I had bought one from Amazon before and was supper upset with it. So when I bought this one I was prepared for the worst but was super happy to see that the box came in perfect condition and nothing was missing or broken. It took me only an hour to put together by myself. The instructions were very easy to follow and it was super easy to assemble. I love our new bed frame! We got the king size and it was so easy to set up. I was worried about quality since the price is reasonable and buying online but it's been really great! One of the top bars was a little warped so the holes wouldn't line up properly but we contacted the seller and they were super nice and very helpful and response was very fast. The bed frame is definitely cute and having the ability to put stuff on the rods is so convenient, as well as ample space for under the bed storage. Now for the downside. This frame started squeaking heavily around the 1 year mark. We tried taking it apart and tightening all the screws, didn’t fix it. The pads between the metal slats and the frame wore down, we tried to pad it to stop the squeaking, no dice. We even tried using the storage to hold the bed in place, but you can’t even climb in and out of bed or even roll over without a chorus of metal bed squeaking. After a year and a half we finally called it and are now getting a new bed frame. ... show more
