Our local Rural King store used to sell this brand, size and flavor. But, they switched to something else and I didn’t care for it. Lucky me, I found it on Amazon. The bags always pop full. The popcorn is very tasty. The only negative is there’s a bit more husks than I like. I’d give it a 5 if they could cut more of the husks out. ... show more

    • Defective exploding bags that catch fire

Hey there! I've been buying this line for a bit (Kettle Corn- JOLLY TIME Healthy Pop Microwave Popcorn, Low Fat Gluten Free). It was great but then went through a period where it was such an enormous waste of money because all of the bags would explode/ catch fire almost in the microwave with all of the popcorn burnt to a crisp and charred black, making it completely inedible. For a minute i thought my microwave was broken but nothing ever was damaged in my micro BUT this popcorn. SO, I gave it ONE last shot and purchased one last batch of popcorn. And, the last batch i received, it appears the company was aware of the defective bags and finally updated the popcorn bags. The bags in the past were always WHITE packaging (see photo). The new batch i received, the bags were BROWN (see photo). The brown ones finally did NOT explode and were once again wonderful. White bags = defective and will explode/burn. Brown bags = wonderful. My Rating of 3 stars is because of the defective bags. However i would give 5 stars for sure to the new improved bags.
